If it only lost feathers, it was lucky. I was worried about it losing some skin. OUCH!

Bet it WAS thankful. That was a nasty predicament it got itself into and could have had a bad ending. Glad it was a good one instead.

They let it hang around for days.

It would perch on the headboard LOL

I’d be afraid it would poop on me LOL

No, he went back out, but Ginger is in. I’ll have to try to get her out of the room before I go to sleep or she’ll attack my feet and it hurts! LOL!

Wow! They were lucky it didn’t poop on them! Owls are messy birds. Ick!

Nice of them to keep it around to be sure it was ok. Not sure I’d have wanted it sleeping on the headboard though. LOL! That was taking a chance!

At least you CAN scoot Ginger out and not have her banging at the door all night, unlike with Peaches. LOL

I hope the poor little thing stays away from other sticky traps that might be out there. It was probably going for a mouse when it got stuck.

I never see the owls here though I hear them flying around the farm at night, especially right after the fields are harvested. They screech to scare the mice to make them move so they can see them and snag ‘em.

Owls and cats belong outside.
Dogs can sleep at the foot of the bed

We do keep some of our cats inside because they wouldn’t survive long outside. Too stupid. The cats allowed outside are brought in at night nowadays because we’ve lost too many to coyotes over the years and don’t want to lose more to those vile creatures.

And now I guess I’d better go test that theory! It’s late and tomorrow is head-bonking day! :)

It’s hard losing beloved pets. You’ll probably never stop missing Pook.

It still hasn’t totally sunk in that we lost our Weebs this week. I keep calling her at suppertime and looking for her in her favorite spot to give her some lovin’. It takes a while. :-(
