Ivanka Trump has been quiet on Twitter the past few days while observing the Jewish holiday Shavuot.
On Thursday, she broke her silence, sending out messages of support for her LGBTQ friends.
"Logging back on after Shavuot, wishing everyone a joyful #Pride2017," Ivanka wrote in the first tweet. "This month we celebrate and honor the #LGBTQ community."
"I am proud to support my LGBTQ friends," Ivanka shared in the second, "and the LGBTQ Americans who have made immense contributions to our society and economy."
The shout-out to gay rights backfired. Many slammed her for tweeting about Pride Month hours after her father, President Donald Trump, announced his decision to pull the United States out of the Paris climate agreement.

Ivanka has always been her father's pet, could get away with blue murder, and has ALWAYS lived in a BUBBLE.
OTOH....her full blood brothers appear to be much more down to earth; especially Don Jr., who is very much like his father, with Eric being very close to that.
Tiffany was raised by her dippy mother,has had far less contact with her father than ANY of the other kiddos, and from what little I know of her, I can absolutely say that she's a yutz !
Don Jr, Eric, and their wives are all CLASS ACTS and not only support our president, but more or less have the same views as he does; especially Don, who seems to really be a "chip off the old block" !
Ivanka wanted to BE THE DONALD ( ALSO TO BE A HIGH SOCIETY "BUTTERFLY" ), which sadly, broke up their once happy marriage. She's still all FOR THE DONALD and outside of doing everything, in her power, in her circle, to get him elected, has kept herself out of the picture. She's a VERY intelligent woman for doing that and understanding the BIG PICTURE.
Marla Maples has ALWAYS been just a nasty piece of work, air head, user, gold digger, publicity hound, and STUPID! She has tried TWICE ( and been stopped, LEGALLY, due to her having signed a "keep her mouth closed pledge" during their divorce ), once, quite a while ago and now, during the primary season, to grasp the spotlight and spill some beans on the president. She was one GIGANTIC, quite stupid, utter lack of good judgement mistake on Trump's part.
Ivanka has ALWAYS been her father's "pet", whom he still dotes on. She could always get away with blue murder ( blaming her brothers, especially Don, for doing something she did and he'd be the one who got punished )because of that.
Also, one really has to consider the group/s of friends she has always associated with and their views/ideas. She is an attention seeker, yearns to fit in and be lauded, so has adopted a lot of others', outside of her immediate family's ideas. And because of this bubble, she has less than NO damned idea how to behave now; vis-a-vis politically!
