Calling it a "very shocking" incident, South Korea's new president on Tuesday demanded an investigation into why his office wasn't told by defense officials about the arrival of several additional launchers for a contentious U.S. missile defense system meant to cope with North Korea's nuclear threat.
Before taking office on May 10, Moon Jae-in vowed to review the deployment of a system that has infuriated both North Korea and China, which consider its powerful radar a security threat. Many of Moon's supporters don't want the system, which U.S. President Donald Trump suggested Seoul should pay for.
On Tuesday, senior presidential adviser Yoon Young-chan said Moon has discovered that four additional launchers ...

OK, if he doesn’t want them, we can bring out troops home, and let Kim have the entire Korean peninsula.
That’s another way to end the Korea problem without a war.
Everyone will be happy — including the South Koreans,
who haven’t shown that they want us.
Let the South Korean’s defend their land by themselves then. They voted for this guy, so be it. Pull our troops back to Guam / Japan / Hawaii.
We’ll take ‘em back, Moon. If you don’t want to protect your citizens, well that’s up to you. Appeasement has always worked, right?
Another liberal idiot. When we attack NK I guess he’ll be happier without a missile defense system.
Uh oh - new guys sounds to me like he could get lots of people killed.
Then we’ll get the hell out of there. Deal with your northern butthole yourself, S Korea.
Odds are Japan would be tickled to have the system. Seems most of the butterballs missiles seem to end up on target trajectories on Japan or within their exclusion zone waters. SK hasn’t been targeted in any tests so their new preezy thinks it’s all cool with the norks.
I would love a phone that brought up pictures and sayings of dear leader every time I use it.
S Koreans seem to be a special type of weird.
On one hand you’ve got the older generations that love America and thank Vets on Memorial Day (for Korean War service of course). On the other hand every so often nut cases like this guy and their youth burn effigies and American flags protesting “colonialism”.
Maybe we should let fat boy have his cake and eat it too in Korea?
he doesn’t sound like the brightest light in the room
I think we need to give nukes to Japan and let them take over that area. Oh yeah, we should cut off trade with China, they are paper tigers totally incapable of controlling tiny little North Korea.
they have always had a slanted view on thing.... sort of a genetic thing \ /
After all these years, the “forgotten war” has been in vain. These ingrates in the south do not deserve American blood nor current defense by American forces. Bring all our troops home, save a lot of money, and let South Korea defend itself—then see what these ingrates have to say.
Might be a good idea to mention we could use those 26,000 troops to defend our southern border.
With all this talk of us removing our military from SK, and letting SK defend itself, I think we may be forgetting that this is not just about SK. If we remove from there, do we think SK is going to do anything about NK’s ballistic missile threat of the US? Hardly. Not with the idiot they’ve elected.
OUR security, in Hawaii and Alaska, and the other 48 states, is also at issue here. If we think NK won’t continue its nuclear arms race if we pull out, we are kidding ourselves.
Seems obvious that South Korea feels it can defend itself...either with their own arms or by appeasement. I say let them have at it....bring our blood and money home or to Japan or some grateful ally.
Screw SK. Another country like Germany that is indignant and ungrateful. Pull all of our troops out of both countries.
If we don't have troops on the Korean Peninsula, why do you think North Korea would invite annihilation by attacking the US? South Korea has twice the population and an economy 40x as large as North Korea's. WTF do you think we need to borrow money to house troops there? What do we gain for the cost? Continuation of this policy is mindless. Trump's willingness to stop indebting US taxpayers for the benefit of other nations was one of the reasons I voted for him. Joke's on the taxpayer, as always...
