Democrats reeling from a devastating election face a daunting task: the 2018 Senate map.
It favors Republicans in a big way. The GOP will be defending just eight seats, while Democrats must fight for 23 — plus another two held by independents who caucus with Democrats.
What’s worse is the fact that many of the seats they must defend are in states won by Republican Donald Trump
. Midterm elections for sitting presidents are historically challenging. Democrats in the Senate are hoping to find some political momentum for 2018 given the difficult playing ground.

That is a very huge consideration and perfectly spot on. McCain sabotaged Bush’s first several years as president because there was only a 1 vote margin. His bitterness forced Bush to kowtow to him. McCain’s behavior is not as obvious currently, but he is working behind the scenes.

You may be right about Trump’s base staying home, but that would be a mistake. If Repubs can keep both houses they might just grow a pair. Right now they are afraid of a rout.
It has nothing to do with my being in California. It has to do with how badly the Republicans are doing. They are just as anti Trump as the Democrats.
What do Trump supporters have to vote for in 2018? It doesnt matter who controls congress. Both parties are pro illegal immigration, anti wall, anti Trump. Trump has no friends in congress.

When Ted Cruz came to Utah and stole the 40 delegate votes from then Candidate Trump, I didn’t sit home and cry and moan, I was working at our local prescient and we went to work, we went to court, we have a guy who represented us and on the other side was the Head of Republican party James Evans and Mike Lee...
We fought and we got Candidates Trump delegates back and now we got rid of James Evans and hopefully we can get rid of Mike Lee...

Who says I dont care about America? Just becuase I live in a state that is 60% Democrat doesnt mean I think like them.
I simply stated the Republicans in the Senate and House are pathetic. How can you argue with that? They are out to get Trump as much as the Democrats. Then I made a prediction, and its only a prediction, that the Republicans could lose control because Trumps base may not come out for them.
As far as taking over my state making it a red state goes, please. California is lost. Not until it collapses and all the liberals and illegals go elsewhere can the consrrvative rebuild it.
The GOP owns health care now. If Obamacare collapses, they own it. If Trumpcare is a train wreck, they own it. That could influence a lot of the races on this list.
