The race to fill Montana's sole seat in the U.S. House of Representatives took a violent turn Wednesday, and a crew from the Fox News Channel, including myself, witnessed it firsthand.
As part of our preparation for a story about Thursday's special election to air on "Special Report with Bret Baier," we arranged interviews with the top two candidates, Republican Greg Gianforte and Democrat Rob Quist. On Wednesday, I joined field producer Faith Mangan and photographer Keith Railey in Bozeman for our scheduled interview with Gianforte, which was to take place at the Gianforte for Congress Bozeman Headquarters.

At that point, Gianforte grabbed Jacobs by the neck with both hands and slammed him into the ground behind him. Faith, Keith and I watched in disbelief as Gianforte then began punching the reporter. As Gianforte moved on top of Jacobs, he began yelling something to the effect of, "I'm sick and tired of this!"
~snip~
Scanlon (Gianforte's press sec) later issued a statement saying that Jacobs "entered the [campaign] office without permission, aggressively shoved a recorder in Greg's face, and began asking badgering questions.
Later, the statement added, "After asking Jacobs to lower the recorder, Jacobs declined. Greg then attempted to grab the phone that was pushed in his face. Jacobs grabbed Greg's wrist, and spun away from Greg, pushing them both to the ground. It's unfortunate that this aggressive behavior from a liberal journalist created this scene at our campaign volunteer BBQ."

CNN spin on this was essentially, how quickly can this man be indicted, and it’s all Trump’s fault, he told Americans that the media are their enemy.
Two points came to mind.
First, we have this audio tape of the candidate getting angry with the reporter (for questioning him repeatedly about the same thing), but we don’t have video, where possibly the reporter sticks a microphone in his face, and in these matters, body language is significant. But at this point, I think it is fair to consider this more or less as a test case of the “Trump proposition” that the media are the enemy.
So, second point — the liberal media still do not get that they have aroused considerable (I would not yet say extreme) anger among millions of Americans (and thousands of Canadians).
If you happen to read this, liberal media types, consider these points.
Yes, Trump did make the point but it was fertile soil and a widespread belief before Donald Trump even announced his presidential bid. Many people had come to this conclusion about the liberal media either during the Clinton-Bush era or certainly with growing numbers in the Obama fiasco.
And that’s the key word, fiasco. The liberal media did EVERYTHING HUMANLY POSSIBLE to protect Barack Obama from criticism and investigation. And to a somewhat less enthusiastic extent they did the same for Hillary Clinton.
We hear all about Russia this and Russia that, most of it even if true seems banal by comparison to the Soviet complicity with left wing politics “back in the day” and then we have to wonder, what did Obama mean when he told Medvedev that “things would be easier in my second term?”
Where were the self-proclaimed morally upright media then?
Where is the impartial investigation of the Clinton foundation? Of John Podesta? Of Arkancide, or a thousand other liberal scandals?
Where is the fair reporting on the legal oppression of people of conscience refusing to bow down to the homo-fascist brownshirts? There is no reporting at all, let alone fair reporting?
And then there’s climate change, one-sided reporting on black violence issues, immigration, refugees ... it’s a wonder that the media have escaped more serious harm, I would have to say, because to about half of America, they do appear to be the enemy.
And they won’t stop pushing the liberal agenda for one second. They have no sense of introspection. They do not once show any faint sign that they could possibly be wrong about anything. Yet they are wrong about everything.
So that, my liberal friends, is why you get a bit of push-back sometimes. In Montana, push-back was in fact a body slam. I don’t condone it (if it really happened). But I sure as hell understand it.

No, the Sheriff has contributed to Greg’s campaign.
>Son, you just took a minor embarrassment and made it into total, mortifying cringe. I haven’t felt this embarrassed for another adult in recent memory.
Eventually you’re going to learn that this kind of behavior doesn’t get you the response you crave: It makes people laugh at you.
Son, you have no clue, not even a premise to reality or self defense. I am a rock, I am an island. Do not fock with the rock...

Very interesting.....
O’Keefe reported about this during the presidential election.
“OKeefe Video Sting Exposes Bird-Dogging Democrats Effort to Incite Violence at Trump Rallies”
Coincidence? Or this guy was running a play out of the Dems’ dirty trick playbook.
Okay Buster, Mr. D.U. Hotshot! Listen up!

Shut up wuss...go back to DUmmies....NOW BOY!!
What’s this terrorist-enabling ‘journalist’ whining about? No one tried to hang him...this time.
This is Montana we are talking about so decking a reporter could be a resume enhancer
Ace Ventura would approve.
The reporter should be charged for trespassing! He entered Gianforte’s office without an invitation.
Thank you, Mr. Troll!
