The race to fill Montana's sole seat in the U.S. House of Representatives took a violent turn Wednesday, and a crew from the Fox News Channel, including myself, witnessed it firsthand.
As part of our preparation for a story about Thursday's special election to air on "Special Report with Bret Baier," we arranged interviews with the top two candidates, Republican Greg Gianforte and Democrat Rob Quist. On Wednesday, I joined field producer Faith Mangan and photographer Keith Railey in Bozeman for our scheduled interview with Gianforte, which was to take place at the Gianforte for Congress Bozeman Headquarters.

At that point, Gianforte grabbed Jacobs by the neck with both hands and slammed him into the ground behind him. Faith, Keith and I watched in disbelief as Gianforte then began punching the reporter. As Gianforte moved on top of Jacobs, he began yelling something to the effect of, "I'm sick and tired of this!"

Scanlon (Gianforte's press sec) later issued a statement saying that Jacobs "entered the [campaign] office without permission, aggressively shoved a recorder in Greg's face, and began asking badgering questions.
Later, the statement added, "After asking Jacobs to lower the recorder, Jacobs declined. Greg then attempted to grab the phone that was pushed in his face. Jacobs grabbed Greg's wrist, and spun away from Greg, pushing them both to the ground. It's unfortunate that this aggressive behavior from a liberal journalist created this scene at our campaign volunteer BBQ."

The DNC, the Fake Stream Media and the Globalists have been in full meltdown mode since President Trump was elected last November.
The Democrats have had their @sses handed to them even with rigged voting. Thus, they are desperate for any victory. That way they can claim the whole world has turned on President Trump.

Of course not and for Trump’s sake, I hope Greg wins. So many of us still taxed without representation but like you noted it’s nationwide. Republicans Nationally aren’t with us so hopefully your situation is better locally.
If true, this should be all over social media (since MSM certainly won’t connect the dots).

No, he's a self-made, right-wing, Christian billionaire who provided Bozeman with 500+ new jobs. He's hated across the state by the unions, universities and government bureaucracies.
Somebody upthread is spouting nonsense about making his fortune on the back of little guys, whatever. That's the same kind of envious bullshit that has been leveled by the Left against Trump, and is indeed what the entire campaign against Gianforte has been: he is rich and you aren't.
He's very pleasant in person but not a gifted campaigner. He is miles beyond his lying, cheating, deadbeat scumbag opponent, and far better than most of his soon-to-be-colleagues in the House.
My county is conservative and GOP, but the rest of DE is solid blue.
State office elections are always 60/40 in their favor—been that way since I came here from Joisey in 2006.
Hate to say it but Gianforte is probably toast now. The Rat has disguised himself as an aw shucks gun lovin cowboy which plays well in Montana. This will give them an excuse to vote for the Rat. Pity, MSM will claim the wave has begun and on to GA where PJ Boy is probably going to win. The GOP is going to get creamed for not supporting Trump.
