No, he's a self-made, right-wing, Christian billionaire who provided Bozeman with 500+ new jobs. He's hated across the state by the unions, universities and government bureaucracies.
Somebody upthread is spouting nonsense about making his fortune on the back of little guys, whatever. That's the same kind of envious bullshit that has been leveled by the Left against Trump, and is indeed what the entire campaign against Gianforte has been: he is rich and you aren't.
He's very pleasant in person but not a gifted campaigner. He is miles beyond his lying, cheating, deadbeat scumbag opponent, and far better than most of his soon-to-be-colleagues in the House.
