New appointee to National Science Foundation. I hope this is not a Presidential appointee - he is part of the IPPC Committee that shared the Nobel Prize with Algore...
Easterling is an internationally recognized expert on how climate change likely will affect the Earth's food supply. He was a convening lead author on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Fourth Assessment Report, Chapter 5 (Food, Fibre, Forestry, and Fisheries), which in 2007 shared the Nobel Prize with former Vice President of the United States Al Gore.
LOL! In a sad kinda way. When I saw it my first thought was “He must be an AGW type.” Yawn........ Oh well.
I think Easterling hired The Hockey Stick Mann, data torturer.
IPCC Committee that was caught falsifying data to support global warming? I don’t think Galileo would call that science.
No one associated with Penn State should be getting anything, regardless of being with Gore or not. Okay, that too, but separate issue. Penn State should be pariah. Period.
History lesson.
All government research funds used to be given to the NSF for administration, with the idea that peer reviewed science/scientists would do a good job.
But then it was decided that the NSF process was too political so Government decided to finance research directly which solved the problem.....................
This putz shouldn’t be anywhere near a Federal programme or agency.

About the Office
The Office of the Director houses the Foundation's top leadership, and oversees all Foundation activities from the development of policy priorities to the establishment of administrative and management guidelines, including long-range planning.
The positions of Director and Deputy Director are appointed by the President and confirmed by the U.S. Senate. NSF's statutory authority establishes a six-year term for the Director.
None of them should be. Likely he helped with the Michael Mann coverup, I mean investigation!
Dean of Emergency Medical Services???

Ohhhhhh . . . thanks for clarifying! :-)
EMS - Emergency Medical Service, or Energy Management System?
Earth & Mineral Sciences!
That is the one form of EMS that I wasn’t familiar with.
