Ann Coulter was one of President Donald Trump's most outspoken supporters during the 2016 election, but so far she's been underwhelmed by his presidency.
On "Varney & Co." today, Coulter said that the American people elected Trump to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, enforce immigration laws, end NAFTA and end our role as the world's police.
"Unfortunately, we're not getting what we voted for," Coulter said.
She acknowledged, however, that much of the "vicious and violent" criticism of Trump is unfair.
"Both political parties for years and years have been pushing whatever Wall Street and the elites want. Trump was the only candidate who was going to put Americans first," Coulter said. "I just want him to get back to his campaign promises."
She said if he fails to do that, then the Democrats will destroy the Republicans in the 2018 midterms, and they "absolutely" will impeach him.
"The left-wing base is just obsessed with that, so Trump better keep his promises," Coulter said.
She noted that there's still plenty of time for Trump to get it together, but she's still waiting to see the "bull in a china shop" that he promised to be in Washington, D.C.

This is a real and present danger. We here don’t want to think about it, but given the political climate of today, yes, it could happen. Especially with the media ready to fan the flames of discontent at any time and for any reason, no matter how petty or malicious. Ann is sounding the alarm now, before it’s too late. Hopefully Trump and Pence are paying attention.
This is more than just Ann being Ann for more attention. A lot of Trumps supporters are starting to wonder, will certain things ever happen during the first term, or will the ‘kick the can down the road’ theme continue, business as usual. The term is still early, so much can occur, but the trajectories have some concerned.
I am a Trump supporter, but I’m seeing what is the prevailing pattern at present.
While I am a strong Trump supporter, I also find some things to criticize such as appointed Nikki Haley.
I think she is right in one respect. If the voters in the swing states that voted for trump that normally would not have dont see Trump keeping his main promises they will just not vote next time. Trump needs to bear down on draining the swamp, illegal aliens, building the wall and getting rid of the swampers like ryan and the gop establishment.
Trump needs to stop thinking that the media’s issues matter. Every Russia investigation could end tomorrow and agree that Trump’s campaign did nothing wrong, and the media would immediately be hammering him 24/7 on some new made-up issue. Caring what the media says is the only thing that can sink him.
There is no commandment against breaking off engagements.
Of course not. I have never said there was. I said, if she wants to be considered a conservative “leader,” more is required.
Martin Luther King was willing to face jail, beatings, but because he was (in part) he was the leader of the civil rights movement.
Ann commands a ton for her speeches and book tours. Terrific. The old Spider-Man line: with great power comes great responsibility.
Ditto... Coulter needs to shut up the critique of failure!!
If I had to guess, I'd say, "Anthony's Weiner."
The poor girl is casting about feverishly, searching for relevance now that the GOP has both houses of Congress and The White House. She's so used to railing against The White House that she's lost without her raison d'etre,
So she goes rogue and inanely controversial just to get some press. Hey Anne, once you've won the war, stop shooting. Once you've sold the goods, stop selling.
Because if you stay in attack mode against Trump, you will go from being merely an irrelevant has-been to a completely reviled, hated pariah. Trump is keeping every single promise he ever made, and you are taking shots at him. You are displaying "youngest sibling syndrome," and I'm hoping it's actually beneath you.
Knock it off, or pay the price. Horsey face.
What is clear is that you would cut off your nose to spite your face. Go for it, as it is you who has to stare at that fleshy blob hanging over your lips in the mirror every morning.
Maybe your nose deserves your disdain. Who am I to judge? If I were to make a suggestion, it might be to consider returning to just "lurking."
Well said!
I don’t the Trump wants to kick the can down the road, i think it is Congress who is forcing him to.
He can only do so much. Once we get a new supreme court judge to replace Kennedy (retiring) and Ruth Buzzi (dying or possibly already dead) then go after the Obamacare again where they FORCE people to buy something, and declare that !hit unconstitutional
I hope you’re right, but I heard many say the same thing before Gorsuch was accepted as a new Justice. “Sessions is holding out until we get Gorsuch in.”
Sessions is low energy personified, and just when we need a Turbo-Charged Attorney General to ride herd over what’s become standard Washington behavior.
Coulter is in touch with right wing youth and most Freepers are not.
