Thanks. I'm not sure if you are aware of it, but there is a fairly significant Vegan movement in the United States these days.

They have a horror of anything that comes from an animal and that includes human animals.
If you want to feed a baby a natural diet then human breast milk is the most natural, followed by goat and cow milk.
Oat milk, rice milk, buckwheat milk and semolina milk are not "milk" and they are all highly processed.
Veganism is not natural. Even for an adult you need to eat a careful balance of often highly processed foods to maintain health.
For a baby it is death.

It’s a wonder she was even able to maintain a healthy pregnancy with that kind of diet.
Liberalism is truly a mental disorder.

When I was a kid (many decades ago) my Mom used to make me a breakfast of soft boiled egg swimming in butter.I loved it and it didn't hurt me one bit...other than that I was 225 pounds at age 5 and had had my first heart attack at age 6.
To: Red Badger
This makes flames shoot out my ears. Didn't the mom have breasts? Why didn't she nurse that baby?
Any woman hormonally normal enough to have given birth, and healthy and hydrated enough to sweat, can produce milk for her baby. Great God Almighty DESIGNED you that way, lady.
This just makes me sick. And the parents face 18 months prison max? They'd get more than that for starving a dog.

Hello? They’re into health foods but didn’t breastfeeding feed their baby? Sounds like they are trying to wiggle their way out of what was really child abuse.

I know. How stupid. Also, “health conscious?” Then why not feed him breast milk? Or raw cows or goats milk formulas? THAT is how babies stay healthy. Oh, and ALIVE.
Gluten free. Sheesh. What does gluten have to do with a seven month old anyway?

Babies are generally fed mother's milk and vegetables up to the age of seven months. That's in line with Vegan with one possible exception.
The mother's milk might not be a Vegan practice. I'm not aware of their teachings on that. Other than that though, the kid should be fed baby food, and that's generally vegetable based.
These two went way off the beaten track. The child weighing half the normal weight is the tip-off.
The empty stomach is another one. The kid should have food in the stomach. You feed kids a number of small meals per day. There's generally always something in their stomach.
This kid must have been crying a lot.
The parents trial began this week. Each faces up to 18 months in prison for contributing to the infants death.
Looks like they've almost legalized post birth abortion. 18 months? Yikes!

They'd get more than that for starving a dog. Tragically hilarious comment of the day here. You're absolutely right. This is what our legal system has become.
