Correct me if I’m wrong.
If it takes 3 seconds to travel the 1.5 miles that bullet will fall many feet due to the force of gravity. The applicable formula is:
S = .5 * g * t *t
Where
g = 32.2 feet per second per second
t = 3 seconds
This gives a total drop of about 58 feet!
Compensate for that sometime you wannabe sharpshooters.

That’s incredible!
I just did my first shooting at 1000 yds, using a friend’s rifle that was already sighted in and ready to go. It’s just amazing even at that distance! Hard to imagine 1.5 miles!

Hey are there any history channel specials on this stuff? I saw the one about the kills zones and the Vietnam river crossing but I haven’t been able to find any other ones.
