If there is real follow up to what was said, it will be on par with Reagan’s tear down this wall speech, which presaged the fall of the Soviet Union. Trump used strong language in the Arab context. Saying “drive them out from this Earth” means real annihilation. No wonder some squirmed uncomfortably - more surprising were those able to keep their poker faces.
He was the boss. “President Trump took control of the Arab Summit.”
The whole Star Wars bar full of almost 50 despots and dictators, being given their marching orders. In many of those places (especially Saudi Arabia), things turn on a dime when the despot gives new orders - Islamists could face roundups/torture/execution tomorrow, if the behind the scenes policy says so - but funding definitely seems to be on the table big time.
