Katrina and the huge spike in crime have nothing to do with people leaving. It's those scary Civil War monuments that keep the "best and the Brightest" up at night. When I think of New Orleans, the first thing I think of is, "The Best and the Brightest."

Well, actually I think of 1) Voodoo and 2) Shrimp. But there you go.

That’s the key reason for people moving away??? The fallout from Katrina wasn’t a key factor??? The sad fact of an enormous criminal element in that city is not a significant factor in encouraging decent people to move away from the gang infestation???

No other factors are as important as some statues and monuments??? Monuments that the vast majority of New Orleans people don’t see on a daily basis because they aren’t around the areas where monuments were located??
