Let the coastal counties’ from L.A. to Marin split off and form their own nation. Throw in Alameda as a bonus.

The whole state can leave the Union peacefully with no strings attached - no complications. AMF. How can I help?

If they do not want to be part of the USA, cut them off from federal funds first.

The Democrat Party establishment, knowing that losing California means the party’s over, will put the kibosh on CalExit.

It was reported that on Tuesday evening Judge Ferris Bueler appointed by President George HW Bush ruled the Calexit gambit unconstitutional and issued an injunction barring all future efforts in that regard

Since the injunction was issued juris deio, it can’t be appealed said law professor Robert W Davis of the Harvard School of Law

I would vote for this only if they would have no representation in Congress and couldn’t vote for president. I don’t want them to be independent AND have a say so in our national affairs. That’s having the cake and eating it too. It would be like Scotland in the UK.

“It would have the governor negotiate with the federal government to give California more autonomy as what supporters call a “nation within a nation.” Or the talks could eventually lead to full independence.

(Excerpt) Read more at usnews.com ...”
The main problem they have is other liberals. Conservatives would love to give California more autonomy just like we want to give the same to every state. We actually want to follow the U.S. Constitution and let states Govern all domestic matters period.

Based upon the way California voted in the last few presidential and senate elections, its clear California doesn’t want that. California leftist wont be satisfied until they can make slaves of their entire population to impose their socialist choices upon.
While these people are still U.S. Citizens i’m not ok with that. At the same time i can’t deny that no clause in the U.S. Constitution prohibits states from withdrawing by the same means they entered. If California holds a convention and the large majority of the people vote themselves out, they are out. That is of course citizen, not recent invaders from the south.

I absolutely support "Calexit".The state is populated largely (but *not* entirely) by the filthiest pigs who've ever walked on two legs.Give California its independence and then build a wall 25 feet high and ten feet thick to its east and north.

I'm willing to pay 25 cents a pound more for broccoli then I do now.And as for vacationing there (and retiring there)...sorry,Florida's much nicer!

If California were to become an independent nation the US would give them billions on aid every year. Including free gasoline since there’s not a refinery in the state.

I am constantly amazed by then number of posters who enthusiastically support dismembering our nation. California, for all its current flaws, is an intregral part of our nation. Great nations do not prosper by shedding territory.

Ironically, they are doing this on a site hosted in Fresno, California.

Instead of surrendering and retreating, conservatives should redouble their efforts and work person by person to challenge the California elites on their home turf. Expose each failure of the Democrat party and like water on stone, erode their hold on the state. It is a project of decades, but we can reclaim California.

They should be either in or out. No home rule.

Forty-Five percent of California is federal land. This land us your land. This land is my land.

The Calexit vote should be by county, so if conservative, pro-Union, non-sessech, Californians want to stay, they can.

Move the Nixons and the Reagans to a non-seccesh area of their families’ choosing.

The Calexiters get what is left over and should be treated as we formerly treated Cuba.

I vote yes.
Do I need a ID?

Not going to go anywhere. CA has three issue that they can’t overcome in the short run. Water, power and a Rat majority in Sacramento.

I am guessing that an “independent” California would soon become part of Mexico. The demographics point in that direction, thanks to many years of almost unchecked illegal immigration. The white liberals would immediately let in everyone from the south even more so than now, make them “citizens” and give them the vote. Very soon, California would be completely run by the Mexican drug cartels. Imagine the most violent parts of Mexico. Now imagine this multiplied several times and brought to California as the drug cartels fight each other for new turf and loot everything thay can and fight any native Californians who might still be there who resist the invasion. Most whites, blacks and Asians will be forced to flee, kind of like Zimbabwe forced whites out or killed them. Most of the California exiles would wind up in the U.S. and they will vote and most of them will have learned nothing from their experiment with socialism and multiculturalism.
