President Donald Trump now says he's open to releasing his tax returns — after he leaves office.
When asked in an interview published Thursday by The Economist, Trump found no reason to make his tax returns public even if it means Democrats would get on board with his tax plan — a bare bones version of which was unveiled last month.
"I doubt it. Because they're not going to … nobody cares about my tax return except for the reporters," Trump said. "Oh, at some point I'll release them. Maybe I'll release them after I'm finished because I'm very proud of them actually. I did a good job."

Exactly. You know and I know (and everybody knows) that if there was anything amiss about Trump's tax returns, the IRS would have come down on him like a ton of bricks.
The IRS loves making examples of rich celebrities who don't pay their taxes. Just ask Leona Helmsley.

Trump releasing his voluminous tax returns would be treated by the old stream media in the same manner that an anti-theist would treat a good Bible translation. He would take out some line completely out of context, and make it a headline, saying, “See? See? What an evil fraud!”
I don’t know if his tax returns are exactly pearls, but even if they are cubic zirconium, they shouldn’t be cast before swine.
