Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. quickly showed up in stories speculating about possible replacements for fired FBI director James Comey.
A Reuters story noted that both Clarke and New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani campaigned for Trump, but added: Both men would be seen as highly political nominees for an agency designed to be independent.
Three words: Sheriff. David. Clarke, tweeted conservative commentator John Podhoretz.

I would love that. The guy is great

So, if Sheriff Clarke is a serious contender, and he might be, what are his specific qualifications and experience to head an agency the size and reach of the FBI? Could he step past the political presence he’s created in the news, supporting Trump to take on the non-partisan helm of the FBI?

I second that motion. Mr. Clarke gets my vote, since he is tough as nails, patriotic and has the skin color to silence the multicultural freaks.

I’ve read a couple articles on him, but still don’t really know who he is. It won’t be barely known Sheriff.

Just because you don’t know him doesn’t mean he’s barely known.

There's no such thing anymore as a nonpartisan govt position at that level anymore.
I have no objection to a politically motivated appointment to the FBI as long as the person is qualified, honest, fair, and will enforce the law.
You can replace the word FBI with the word “courts”and it still fits the sentence.

A ringing endorsement from Reuters for EITHER man, if you ask me. Slight edge to Clarke for skin color. Anything to drive the Left a little loonier!

LOL. I guess you missed all the campaign rallies where Clarke introduced Trump last year.
Clarke was interviewed for the head of DHS position a few months ago and I’m sure he’ll be considered for the FBI position.
To: Helicondelta
I like him, but not even close to a chance. The next FBI director will not have noticeable political ties.
