I believe he has already declined to run. It's probably going to be a crowded field in the Republican primary as it is.
If he is chosen Hillary might as well preorder her orange jumpsuit. For him it’s not about politics. He will simply do what needs to be done, without a smile, and without making eye contact with a liberals he so despises.

I agree. I like this guy and hope there is a place for him in the Trump administration.
That said, there’s a big difference between being sheriff and being head of something like the FBI. Not against him, I’d just like to know more.

THE SENATE WILL NEVER APPROVE HIM...
He is a good person for many jobs in the swamp area, and he would do a good job, cleaning it up...
but the FBI will go to someone who is NOT POLITICAL if that is possible to find..and someone with a law education behind them...
The Senate doesn’t have the authority to approve or disapprove anybody. It is the voters of the state who make the decision.
He likes Charlie 1 Horse Hats, that shows good taste.
