Trump Fills 10 More Judicial Seats Mitch McConnell Stole From Obama
Daily Beast ^ | May 8, 2017 | Jay Michaelson

President Trump announced ten federal judicial nominees today. All of them will sail through the Senate. All of them will fill seats stolen from President Obama. There are over 120 vacancies in the federal judiciary, and Obama had nominated people to fill 81 of them.

But by the end of his two terms, 59 of those nominees were still in limbo, because Mitch McConnell’s Senate confirmed only 22.

This week, ten new nominees were announced to take their seats—as promised, mostly conservative firebrands picked by the Heritage Foundation and Federalist Society—with many more sure to come. The Republicans’ strategy of unprecedented obstructionism has, once again, paid off in spades. If you think Judge Merrick Garland’s Supreme Court seat was stolen, well, here’s 59 more of them.

I posted this article quickly without reading the whole thing. Having read it, I wholeheartedly recommend it to all of you. I shows, from a liberal perspective, how vitally important PRESIDENT Trump's election was and how much we really won by electing him. Indeed, it explains exactly why and how we won so much.

The beauty of our position is that you don’t have to be an activist. You just have to stick to the law.

An activist judge is a rogue judge, and should be removed from the bench.

This is what happens when you’re the President, the other party controls the Senate,. and you refuse to make deals with them. “I won my last election,” he said, to the members of Congress that got there how? “And I have a hammer and a sickle.” I mean, “a phone and a pen.” What he didn’t say is that he didn’t have the votes in the House or the Senate.

“The decibel level of screaming on the Left is a good measure of being on the right course.”

I’ve posted before, about how to learn from the dummies and the all ways wrong idiots.

Who, my parents, uncles, older cousins and mentors told me to watch/listen to them.

Then, do the opposite of what they said or told us to do.

The decibel level of screaming on the Left is a good measure of being on the right course.

Please read the article. It's a lot more than just high decibel screaming; it details, in a very professional, well written manner, what the actual effects of these nominations and resulting appointments will be. Indeed, it shows exactly why the libs are so hysterical about OUR PRESIDENT Trump.

“mostly conservative firebrands”

I’m sure they referred to Obongo’s judges as fair minded Judges with no agenda.

IIRC GWB allowed at least some of Clinton’s judicial nominees to stay in the pipeline. On paper these would be listed as Bush2 nominees, but they are not on the conservative values side. That was an early red flag that Bush2 would be a very weak leader.

...

Both sides delay and obstruct, but it only gets reported in a negative light when the Republicans do it.

That’s why Bitch better get a move on and work with Trump to fill EVERY judicial vacancy this year and next.

A REAL strict constructionist would rule that most of the current federal government is unconstitutional, and have no constitutionally-granted authority to do most of what the feds are doing.

Exactly. If President Trump appoints an originalist and literalist to the Supreme Court this summer, we could have an originalist majority on the Supreme Court for the first time in 70 years.

Affirmative action is unconstitutional because it violates equal protection under the law.

Federal gun controls are unconstitutional under the Second Amendment.

Federal Election law has been unconstitutionally used to violate States authority to have geographical representation in their legislatures. (Hard to get that genie back in the bottle!)

Federal law routinely violates freedom of association, with racial quotas.

“Homosexual Marriage” is an oxymoron. There is no protection for it in the Constitution.

Similarly, Abortion has always been a matter for the states.

The President ‘proposes’, the Congress ‘disposes’, that’s what the Dems have always said...

But, we all know that the rules are ALWAYS different for Democrats.

From the article:

“It’s not about bias; it’s about beliefs. And those beliefs have consequences in how close cases are decided.”

That is exactly correct. The Conservative side believes in the rule of law, objective truth, preserving the Constitution as written.

The Leftists believe that judicial power is to be used to further the leftist agenda, that their is no objective truth, and that the Constitution needs to be changed by judicial fiat to move the country in the direction that the left desires.
