Washington (CNN) — Then-President Barack Obama warned President-elect Donald Trump in November against hiring retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn as his national security adviser, former Obama administration officials confirmed to CNN.
Obama warned Trump about Flynn during their Oval Office meeting on November 10, days after Trump was elected president.
Obama's concerns, which he relayed to Trump, were not related to the firing of Flynn from the Defense Intelligence Agency but rather in the course of the investigation into Russian interference into the 2016 election.
"Flynn's name kept popping up," according to a senior Obama administration source.

Gen. Flynn was the only high ranking Military person who said he had been at war with ISLAMIC TERRORISM for 10 years.
Shortly after that statement on TV, Gen. Flynn was forced into reirement by Commander in Chief Obama. -Tom

It was reasonable for Trump to assume that if the 0bamanation didn’t like Flynn, the general must have been doing something right.

A couple of years ago on FOX NEWS I saw Gen. Flynn for the first time. He was in uniform and when discussing the mid east said he has been at war with "radical Islam" for the last ten years.
I said to my wife , "Take a look that man, as he is dead meat now with the Obama administration."
Mentioning Islam as the problem would doom his military career.
The next time I saw Gen. Flynn on TV he was retired. -Tom
interrupted a local newscast with a “breakingnews” story about “obama told trump flynn was a bad guy” line...
why? because local media: print, radio, tv in Miami hate Trump with a passion.
Why did not Obama reject his high security clearance if Flynn was a problem?
Obama...the lowest form of human life, has nothing but a total failure legacy. Obama failed African-Americans, Obama failed with Obamacare, Obama failed with ISIS, Obama failed the entire American People ..and, Obama failed the United States of America!!!

If I were Trump, anything uttered by Obama, I would have taken with a grain of salt anyway.
