I have has that surgery done 3 times.
In my case, I have another health problem (RSD) that makes
replacing my knee out of the question.

The surgery will only take about 45 minutes or so, and you will be in recovery for another hour or more.
If all goes well you will be discharged to home that same day.

I would advise you to wear a pair of sweat pants that day, as your leg will be wrapped from thigh to toes.
You will be hobbling around on crutches for awhile!

They will give you a Cryo-Cuff, which looks like the old Kool aid coolers our Moms used at picnics. It will come with a cuff to wrap around you knee, that has tubing attached.
You fill the jug with ice and water, and let that flow into the Cryo-cuff to reduce swelling.
Your Doc will send you home with a script for pain meds, and you are going to want/need them for a little while.
Be careful not to let your pain get away from you, as it is hard to get it back under control.

It will be VERY important to keep that knee elevated.
Also a word to the wise, no matter HOW MUCH you might feel you want to put heat on it-DON’T!
I made that stupid mistake, and that knee swelled up like the Hindenburg, and my pain from that was off the charts!!

This surgery is tricky to recover from, because the knees take all you body weight with every step, so be patient!

After about a week, you physical therapy will begin.
Be sure you do your exercises, as that will be a big part of your recovery.

You will be fine, and your knee WILL stop hurting, so keep that goal in mind!

The media and tweeters are laughing and saying NO WAY! I say anything is possible. Perhaps our President wants to hear what Rudy thinks on the subject and it makes me wonder if security is going to be discussed especially since Rudy is an expert in security.*****************Makes me think this might have something to do with the rest of the story coming.

That looks like two breakfasts. Thanks. Today my 30 year old deck comes down. Wasn’t told the time the men will be here to start the job so I got up early and dressed. This is the first morning since Friday the Mallards aren’t here in my front yard eating breakfast at my bird feeder.
