Since we know that members of the RNC ; Congress and the Senate visit FR from time to time, it is wholly possible that Trump and members of his team do so as well. It has occurred to me, that while they are hearing from Drudge, and Rush, and Brebart, it is possible that we can use FR as a forum to post our thoughts.
If Donald Trump were to read FR and come across this post, what advice or words would you have for him regarding;
1. The new spending bill. 2. The border wall with Mexico. 3. Draining the Swamp. 4. The 9th circuit court and the out-of-control judges. 5. The corrupt News Media. 6. The antifa movement 7. George Soros. 8. H1-B visas for non-Americans. 9. Hillary Clinton 10. What to do about the corruption of Eric Holder, et al.
Apparently Donald obtains his opinions and information from "many sources". Given his opinions, it seems highly possible that he has, from time to time, visited FR. We do know that Rush does. We know Newt does. We know Ann does. What if Trump does.
What would you tell him if he were to read your thoughts?
I agree, however if say the situation in NK escalates, a government shutdown will provide horrible optics and confuse those who are not as informed in terms of politics. The media will have a field day.
Yes, but he keeps supporting Ryan, and Spicer is now saying that Trump is pleased with the provisions of the CR. I wonder if Trump realizes just how much he is handicapping himself with support for this CR? No money and further restrictions for the Wall combined with more funding to resettle refugees and bring in more low wage foreign workers is a deadly combination, not to mention Federal funding for Planned Parenthood and sanctuary cities. The CR seems to be a poisoned chalice for his stated agenda and a huge victory for the Uniparty.
I admire Jerry and his great work at Liberty ,, and I agree there’s a place to start from . All the serious folks who voted for Trump need to show up again and more if we are to turn the corner on these RINOs . Rush seems to think there are between 40 or more of them who are working against Trump ,,, so you can see the work is really cut out for us .
If he gives up ground here, and then there (think immigration control, then Obamacare repeal, then tax reform, then the wall), then pretty soon he will run out of battleground to make a stand on.
If Trump appears to be weakened by losses to his own party at home, then our enemies in Iran and North Korea won't take his threats seriously because they will think they can outlast him by waiting for his party to undermine and remove him before too long.
This is why Trump must stand his ground here, and now.

Yes, I'm sure he has no idea...

Why doesn't the Trump also announce that he has repealed gravity while he is at it.
Dear President Trump,
The American people have vested their hopes for a renewed America in you. We know that the waste and corruption currently on display in our Capitol is bankrupting the country. The endless spending via “continuing resolutions” is the road to perdition. Unlimited spending and unlimited taxation equate to UNLIMITED GOVERNMENT. Please restore power back to the people as you promised during your campaign. To that end:
1. Veto this budget. It’s simply business as usual. There are no hard choices made. The Wall is neglected while Planned Parenthood is fully funded. It is loaded with fat. It ignores your agenda save for the military. Make Congressional GOPe grow a spine and take the case to the American People: The Dems are the ones threatening to “shut down” the government.
2. Build the Wall. Use the military to begin the work with Army Corps of Engineers and Seabees if necessary.
This structure is a defensive necessity for our national security. Set up a contributory fund and go to the people for donations. Just DO IT!
3. Fight like hell for your proposed tax reforms. It’s a great package. Again, go to the people and enlist their support. Bypass the usual insiders and media hacks. Twist arms in Congress and hold massive rallies in the districts of Reps or Senators who don’t get on board. Bring the heat like only you can. We’re on your side.
4. Keep checking off the boxes on your campaign promises. Call out those who try to thwart immigration, tax, and healthcare reform. Be tough. That’s why we voted for you.
He has a golden opportunity to shut down the government, which he was elected to do.
Drivel, balderdascious drivel
The dumbest most irrational post of the decade
Veto the bill.
Fund the wall.
De-fund planned parenthood.
Split the ninth.
Evict the Dreamers.
You have said what you do.
Now do what you say.
And prove it.
Drain the swamp
I sent a message last November. It was ignored.
Yes. Defeat the Rinos. Never give up. Put Jared and Ivanka out of White House. Jare not trusted. Never give up.
Dear President Trump,
Please keep doing what you are doing and what you did so well during the campaign, namely:
Be bold, take actions that seem reckless and preposterous to your enemies, and bait them into predicting your failure - then prove them wrong!
Some examples:
1. Eliminate a couple of major departments like the department of education and the IRS.
2. Fire a significant number of bureaucrats - (actually say the words: “you’re fired!”)
3. Massive tax cuts - violate the leftist false standard of “revenue neutrality”.
4. Start building the wall - don’t wait for congress.
5. Cut off funding to sanctuary cities - regardless of 9th circuit.
6. Put some swamp creatures in jail - hopefully Clintons.
7. Do not attend the White House correspondants dinner - hold a rally in PA instead (oh that’s right - you already did that).
8. Engineer a government shutdown.
In short, do a bunch of big league things to shrink the federal government which not only fulfill your most loudly and most repeated campaign promises, but that are in-their-face violations of every Marxist principle the leftists believe in.
Make them predict all manner of devastating outcomes - massive debt increase due to tax revenue shortfall, chaos in the financial market due to reduced regulation, accelerated climate change due to elimination of EPA, plunging test scores due to elimination of the dept of education, loss of free speech due to bypassing media via Twitter. Nuclear haulacaust due to show of military strength. The end of civilization due to government shutdown.
As each of their predictions of catastrophe are proven wrong, one by one, and the world as we know it does not end due to less federal government, you will not only have drained the swamp, you will have proved once and for all that when it comes to the federal government, less is more. You will have truly made America great again.
You will be reelected in a Reaganesque landslide.
I wish the best for you and for the country - and I think you are doing great so far.
Thanks for listening Mr President (if you are)!
Dear Sir,
Go big... Please repeal the 17th Amendment.
If it comes to military intervention in North Korea, I suggest we take a 100 mile strip along and North of the DMZ to act as a buffer from artillery that could be used against Seoul.
I didn’t think it was drivel at all. In fact, I agree with the post.
I’d like to see a government shutdown - at least long enough to demonstrate what what we need and what we don’t need.
Obviously, we need SOME government, but it may well take a complete shutdown for many people to see just how little of it is necessary, and how much of a toll the vast excess has taken on our lives, liberties and our pursuit of happiness.
It’s all well and good to say politicians should simply obey their oaths of office and abide by The Constitution, but unfortunately, we are mostly lost souls - we can no longer see the woods for the trees - the lure of socialism is strong when we can be promised other people’s money in return for our votes.
The wisdom of the founding fathers was profound, but they had an advantage we don’t have: they were starting from scratch. Perhaps a shutdown is the only way to achieve the clarity they had and the respect for that all-important principle of limited central government.
I, for one, would love the chance once during my lifetime to see how people would fare under a shutdown of the federal government. Perhaps some essential functions would temporarily go missing but I suspect we individuals could pick up the slack, and that the benifits would be astounding.
You promised, Mr. President. You promised, and I supported you and voted for you. Now, you support a spending bill that breaks your promises.
I won’t believe you next time. It is over for me.
