Monday on CNNs New Day, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the vice chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, said that he foresees some conservatives coming out against a proposed government spending bill set to come out later this week.
I mean, look, money goes to Planned Parenthood as you said, Jordan said to host Chris Cuomo. Money continues to go to sanctuary cities but no money for the border wall. I think youre going to see a lot of conservatives be against this plan this week.

Agree completely. In fact, if Trump hasn’t done something to change the GOP dynamic by Sept, we’re doomed.
We shall see.
Okay...look at this this way....
This is the 2017 budget, something that President Trump shouldn’t have had anything to do with, because this is the Obama budget...so because they didn’t have a ‘ budget ‘ he has the change to put in his Military funds, which is in there; he had a chance to put in his ‘border funds for guarding the border’ which he did and which is in there...
So saying that President Trump and the people didn’t get anything, isn’t right, he bookmarked a few things which rightfully if there had been a budget in the last administration, President Trump got some things in there...
No there isn’t anything about bami care, but it’s not the Trump Budget; yes they are giving PP money, but it isn’t the Trump Budget; and there are other things in this budget, but remember this isn’t the Trump Budget, it’s the bami budget...
Not sure-—you may be right. But there was a “blood bath” for the Democrats in 2010, 2014, and 2016-—and what did it matter?
The question I keep coming back to is this: do you think they care more about their seats or about the Swamp? Because in their minds they can get other jobs after their House seat or Senate seat in the Swamp.
At least, that was how the Dems looked at it.
Hey, you’re preaching to the choir. Of COURSE it’s not what we voted for.
My question to you and everyone is, what do you do to them?
A slew of Dems in 2010-2014 lost their House seats for backing Obamacare, etc. How did that work out? Their party is supposedly “weaker,” yet our guys don’t stop him.
Here is what I’m worried about and what our side doesn’t quite get yet: these guys are NOT “Republicans.” They are Swamp Creatures who may very well see their futures as within the Swamp, NOT within the House of Representatives or the Senate. See what I’m saying? If you look at those Dems who all lost their gigs, what happened to them? I don’t know, but I’m betting many of them ended up in government, in lobbying, or in some part of the Swamp.
You and I see things in terms of voting for representative who live in fear of our votes if they don’t do what we want. But I don’t think that’s how they see it. They see their futures in Washington/gubment REGARDLESS of whether they win reelection.
This is horrible. No way around it. We cannot continue to give in like in the past, a few things for us and major things for dems/gope.
Shut down the gov, veto this.
There is a chilling realism in you post #84. But we need to address all factors; so, thanks, for helping to clarify our focus.
doesn’t matter.
Pres. Trump should veto.
Who got blamed for the last 2 loud showdown-shutdowns ? Congress, not Obama or Clinton.
LS this post IS EXACTLY what D.C. is about!!! How in the HELL do we STOP this and give Trump a successful presidency, this BS budget WILL LOSE Trump’s evangelical base they are DAMNED TIRED of waiting AND they are a force to be reckoned with if they just throw their hands up and give up Trump IS DONE!!! This IS EXACTLY what LYIN RYAN wants we rid ourselves of Bohner we NEED to rid ourselves if RYAN!!! Trump NEEDS to STOP speaking so highly of LYIN RYAN and WAKE UP and smell the coffee, RYAN is DOOMING his presidency
THIS IS NOT THE TRUMP BUDGET!!! This is the bami budget, President Trump’s budget begins in SEPTEMBER 2017!!!
In support of your case, look at Eric Cantor. He lost his seat, and now he’s a VP at some big investment bank. Probably needs Brinks to bring his paycheck and bonuses home. It wasn’t exactly a hard landing.
Trump needs to do two things:
Start doing weekly (or 2x p/month) rallies telling the people to find a strong candidate to run against RINO's in their district. Draining the congressional swamp needs to be a strong message. He needs to focus on this at the rallies, not the "snake" poem or anything else.
Find funding to begin building the wall. The wall is a strong symbol and construction needs to start before the fall when the fiscal year ends. This would send a message to the American voter that their vote does indeed count and a message to Rino's that we are done with their games.
Totally agree about K-street HOWEVER Trump PROMISED this would NO LONGER be the status quo!!! The people BELIEVED HIM he has to STOP this nonsense and start condemning LYIN RYAN I sead of PRAISING HIM!!!!
Sead= stead oops being pissed when typing doesn’t help!!!!
The problem for the President, LS, as I see it, is he ran so convincingly on being strong, tough, unafraid ... and above all else a successful negotiator. These qualities are taking on some major tarnish in a very short period of time.
Trump was elected on the strength of his word-—on the strength of his promise.
I like the sound of this. Care to provide some proof?
The democrats feed on this .. it is a total victory for them. Like rabid animals, once they taste victory they want more of it. Stop them now .. or prepare or Obama III
Do you think signing this monstrosity makes Trump look strong??
They won’t do a budget. Watch.
It’s only been 100 days. Trump has had no allies. Ryan hates him as much as any Democrat. In all my life, I’ve never seen the MSM so unhinged with hatred. It fuels the Democrats never ending war on Trump, and dissuades most of the Uniparty from expressing support.
I support Trump, but I never imagined DC would magically transform in ~three months. As someone posted, let’s see what Trump’s first budget, in Sept, looks like. This one is the tail end of Obama’s fiscal year.
Looks like Trump is OK with this....................Sean Spicer just briefed that the President was very happy with what he got from the deal. There isnt going to be a veto, this budget will be passed and signed off by Trump.
Trump’s MO has always been to play a long game. Throughout the primaries and election cycle his candidacy was declared dead and buried scores of times. This was because the instant gratification presstitutes would seize on something he said and declare him finally, once and for all finished.
Why did none of those epitaphs ever prove justified? Because Trump looks beyond the immediate to the longer term goals. That’s just the way he operates.
