Asked specifically whether he would pick from the list of candidates he put forward in the campaign, Mr. Trump was unequivocal: “Yes,”

“You’ll have hundreds of cases decided by 5-4, and you got that. So that’s a great legacy,”....

YES IT IS!!!!

And he has the guts to say what everyone knows.

It’s a political machine at this point, the SCOTUS.

A VERY powerful one.

Can’t wait to replace one more liberal.

Cause I dont trust Robert.

Who’s the fifth vote? There’s Roberts, Alito, Thomas, the new gentlemen and who else? thanks

Please keep Globalist Ivanka away from the process. She should go work for the ‘new’ FOX NEWS. She would fit right in.

Maybe a real Protestant Christian could be nominated and approved. Five Catholics, three Jews, and one Episcopalian. It seems a bit unbalanced.

Good, hope he draws from that list. Guess what, before some idiot proposes Canadian-born Lyn’ Ted, note he is NOT on that list. So don’t bother!

We’ve won the Supreme Court for now.

Trump will be around for 8 years, and I doubt Ginsberg will last very much longer. I have seen rumors of Thomas retiring soon too. As long as the rest don’t outlast Trump we’ll cement the Supreme Court to the right for a very long time.

But wait for some SJW activist judge to “over-rule” the SC, like they have been on Trump.

President Trump will stick with the same list of potential nominees for the next Supreme Court vacancy ...

The next vacant seat will be the one held by Bork/Ginsberg/Kennedy, who is rumored to be retiring shortly. Going to his list of 20 vetted candidates is a no-brainer for this one. However, what will happen if either Breyer or Ginsburg retires or gets carried out feet first? When this happens, the sh!t will hit the fan big time and massive unprecedented pressure will be put on Trump to go outside that list and keep the current ideological makeup unchanged. HE MUST HOLD FIRM and fight the RINOs in the Senate who will no doubt surrender immediately to the (D)ummycrats. Despite the seating of Gorsuch, we are still way behind on the Court.

We have a full decade now to pronounce Alito a success ( Dear Lord we dodged a bullet there with Bush43 and Harriet Miers ) so that is one Conservative Constitutionalist in addition to the great Clarence Thomas. If we will assume that Gorsuch is a Constitutionalist as he was vetted by the Heritage Foundation and Federalist Society then we are merely back to 3 worthwhile Justices on a Court that unfortunately still contains Roberts and Kennedy in addition to the 4 leftist scumbags. So we can still expect to be handed 6-3 losses as happened often in the past. Let's take a look forward ...

After the death of Scalia and before Gorsuch was confirmed the score was ...
Friendly=2
Enemy=4
Finger-in-Wind=2

With Gorsuch seated the score becomes ...
Friendly=3
Enemy=4
Finger-in-Wind=2

Replacing Kennedy with a Constitutionalist becomes ...
Friendly=4
Enemy=4
Finger-in-Wind=1

Replacing Ginsburg with a Constitutionalist ...
Friendly=5
Enemy=3
Finger-in-Wind=1

Replacing Breyer with a Constitutionalist ...
Friendly=6
Enemy=2
Finger-in-Wind=1

Maybe Trump can talk Roberts into resigning ...
Friendly=7
Enemy=2
Finger-in-Wind=0

Needless to say, if the mighty Clarence Thomas ( greatest "Constitutionalist" ever IMHO ) decides to retire, he will no doubt leave while under President Trump because he is wise and knows the stakes. Assuming the two Obama witches are healthy, President Trump could fill a maximum of 7 seats! That would surpass Abraham Lincoln (5), Andrew Jackson (6), and William Howard Taft (6). Only FDR (9) and George Washington himself (11) filled more seats! In a far-fetched dream scenario the Congress could expand the court to 11 seats and give him a shot at tying the all-time record. [ Note, technically the Court does have 11 seats, but two were dissolved by never being refilled after the Civil War when the radical Republicans declared war on Andrew Johnson. Needless to say, he got no appointments. ]

Interestingly, the Gorsuch seat is the only actual "conservative seat" on the Court in living memory, the only one with an unbroken string since 1955 with Harlan II, then Rehnquist, then Scalia, and now Gorsuch. Prior to Harlan it was Robert H. Jackson, a kind of liberal democrat but who is now famous for being the Nuremberg tribunal boss and also for agreeing with FDR in supporting internment in the Korematsu case.

Today we are at our historical peak in the modern era of 3 Constitutionalists sitting simultaneously. We have never had four since FDR ( and this is the biggest destructor of America and has been for 80 years ). Furthermore, we have often had less than 3. At one point it was just Rehnquist and Scalia for 2 reliable Justices. Prior to that we had just Rehnquist for just 1 Since Rehnquist took Harlan's seat ( the only reliable Justice prior ) it means that the entire Warren Court and Burger Court era we had just 1 reliable Justice. This is exactly how America was lost to the courts.

Prepare yourselves now for World War III in anticipation of each seat that opens up *after* Kennedy retires because you ain't seen nothing yet. We will need to light up the phone lines at the White House more spectacularly than for the Harriet Miers fiasco to keep Trump and his team in line. And we must win this war here and now or everything that has happened already, and will happen during the Trump administration will all be for naught. This is the battle we have all spent our lives planning for and defeat is not an option.

“You’ll have hundreds of cases decided by 5-4..."

Very true, but 7-2 would be better. Hurry up and call it a career, Anthony Kennedy, RBG and Stephen Breyer!

Some news - Trump actually intends to keep his promises even though the RINOs/GOPe have opted to fight him by being as obstructive as Schumer and Pelosi.

If he gets to replace both Kennedy and Ginsberg, it will all have been worth it.
