Portland Police officers dressed in riot gear patrolled the march, and worked to keep the opposing groups on opposite sides of the street despite several cases of "intermingling."
Officers said they saw demonstrators with guns, improvised weapons, and defensive gear in the area, but no violence was reported.
Police did, however, arrest one person wearing a pumpkin outfit for disorderly conduct. The person was later identified as a man named Luis Marquez.
Officers say they found a collapsable baton on Marquez.

It’s the ANTIFA pumpkin, Charlie Brown.
Now there's a statement. Doesn't appear to comport with any previously reported items.
The antifa (the protesters) said that they were going to send in 200 people to push and drag the “fascists” (marchers with the Multnomah County Republican Party) out of the parade.
Parade organizer could not force MCRP to drop out of event.
What’s wrong with this picture?
Pumpkin boy with the concealed collapsible baton should have went as a sick clown. More appropriate.
Correct. Also Anti Free Assembly.
Notice the similarity between American liberals and muslim terrorists?
Both attempt to use the threat of violence to control what others do or say.
And both have great success with the tactic.
Muslims make threats like: “If you draw a cartoon offensive to Islam we will blow your buildings up and kill you.”
Liberals make threats like these:
“If Ann Coulter comes to speak at the university we will riot and go crazy and hurt people.”
“If you allow people we don’t like in your Avenue of the Roses parade we will riot, shut down your roads and hurt people.”
“Let us go down amongst them.”
Nah, just a smashing pumpkin wannabe...
Just part of the
Insane Punkin Posse.
