South Carolina's Jim DeMint could soon be out of a job that helped elect a president, according to a report published Friday in Politico.
The former South Carolina senator and Tea Party leader cut his term short in 2012 to become president of The Heritage Foundation.
The Heritage Foundation is a conservative D.C. think tank that got in on the ground floor of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. It has been attributed to significantly helping Trump win the 2016 presidential election....

DeMint is a very good man just like Sessions. Hoping the President picks him up and adds him to the team.
Better to convince Graham to retire and have DeMint replace him.

Agree. Demint is a good man and would be an asset in Trump’s administration.
Would not surprise me if he has been tapped for the administration. With all the subtle sabotage being done at the Congressional level the thinking might be that DeMint can straighten that out.
Just a hunch in connection with the recent Trump/Drudge meeting.
One story is that DeMint was taking the GOP-E line on the repeal of Obamacare while Needham is a straightforward repeal advocate.
But anytime the Kochs are involved (they heavily finance Heritage), I always suspect an open borders vs. enforcement fight, with the Kochs on the open-borders side.
Appoint Lindsey as ambassador to Fire Island, or some such place.
I wonder whether this is a coup by big donors?
Too bad, DeMint was a good person to run Heritage.

Better to FORCE RYAN out and put DeMint in as Speaker. Speaker can be anybody. Does not have to be member of the House.
No big deal. Heritage has not been successful at what they are trying to do. Make America better. Just review where we are today. Heritage has failed, big time.

Anything legal that gets rid of Ryan in favor of a savvy Trump supporter would be a blesssing.
Think Ryan is Leftist Catholic. Orthodox Catholics not ideologs. Tend to true conservatism. Leftist Catholics tend to Dems. Think Pelosi.
Let’s hope he goes against Graham and goes back to the Senate
