Mexicos foreign secretary is planning an all-out legal assault on any future construction of a border wall by the U.S., to include filing suits in U.S. and international courts over possible environmental, human rights and international treaty violations.
Foreign Secretary Luis Videgaray told congressional leaders here that Mexico will neither pay for nor cooperate with the wall proposed by the Trump administration, under any circumstances.
He called the wall proposal a profoundly unfriendly and hostile act.
We wont contribute in any manner, directly or indirectly or financially or in any other form to the continuation of a construction of a wall or any other type of physical barrier between our two countries, Videgaray told members of the congressional foreign relations committee.

Walls work, ask Israel or me when I was there for two years - it keeps undesirables out, period. Build it high enough and the random shootings are blocked and nobody will want to climb it.
Probably near my old haunt in Arlington-
There is massive schizophrenia to both our north and our south. It's amazing to find out that the Canadians have been Effing us almost as badly as the pinche cabrons in Mexico City.
I’m in Richmond, the invasion started later here than in Northern Virginia, it wasn’t until around 2001 that we really started getting lots of Mexicans, Guatemalans, Hondurans, El Salvadorans, etc.
Now they are everywhere.
Whole apartment complexes are full of them.
Send the US army to secure the border immediately. Anyone trying to enter illegally to be repelled back across the border using force if necessary
It’s our land, we can do whatever we want.
human rights? Bzzzzt- noone’s human rights are being violated
International treat violations? Bzzzzt- We’re NOT beholden to international law- we are a sovereign country
That’s how it started here in California many years ago. It only gets worse.
Exactly- They are a far greater human rights violation than a wall ever thought of being- their violent criminals cross our borders and not only commit violent acts against 1000’s of innocent victims here in US- but they also contribute to the US spending between $400 BILLION and $600 BILLION DOLLARS every year on them- money that could be going to feeding our homeless folks, our poor folks- they are siphoning that money away from those who truly need it- mexican criminals are a direct and constant threat to our well being- THEY are violating our human rights! A wall is NOT going to violate their rights- they have NO RIGHT to cross our borders illegally- period!
Ping.
They should relax.
The armchair experts here on FR told me that the wall is dead. We should just roll over and accept it.
That is a solid sign that we need the wall.
Yes, drug cartels on both sides.
I don’t recall anyone asking Mexico’s permission to build a wall to keep illegals from streaming into our country or to ask them how they would like to pay for it. We will decide these details.
If Mexico hadn’t actively participated in helping illegals get into America I might have a small amount of respect for their government but since they did; I don’t.
I hereby nominate “oldplayer” for this years No Bells Piece Price.
How’s that?
Mexico wants a free ride on the American dime forever because they’re too damn corrupt to clean up their own internal mess. The wall goes up and enforcement of border security will force that third world nation to the south of us to face reality once and for all. The gravy train has to end!
Es Tee Ef You
Fine. Then we will invade and seize you natural resources for reparations and utilize your southern wall instead!
Speak English.
We can have one of two things. Either there is a wall to stop illegals or there will be American snipers. Their choice. They will end up making Americans hate them. No business, no visitors, no interaction and total hostility toward the Mexican people
