Like many after the 2016 election, Barbra Streisand was disappointed with the results. In fact, she was heartbroken.
The Oscar winner opened up about Hillary Clintons loss during an interview with WNYCs Leonard Lopate. In her opinion, it all came down to the fact that women are still so underestimated in society.
Its incredible to watch even this last election with Hillary, the kind of strong woman, the powerful woman, the educated woman, the experienced woman, being thought of as the other, or too elite, or too educated, she said.
Its very, very odd to me, and it was heartbreaking for her to lose, you know?
When Lopate asked whether Streisand agreed with Clinton, whos said misogyny played a part in the election she replied, Totally.
She later added, Power and woman has always been suspect. Strong women have always been suspect ― dont you think? ― in this country.

Most of the Hollywood Left were devastated by Hillary Clinton's loss because they contributed HUGE amounts of money to her campaign--some say as much as $300 million.

Power and woman has always been suspect. So is your ability to construct a grammatically correct sentence, Babs.

I actually agree. It WAS heartbreaking to see Hillary lose the election...by only 77 electoral votes. Should have been 177.

Too bad it wasn’t voice breaking, IMO.
