BREAKING: US judge blocks Trump order to cut off funding to cities that limit cooperation with immigration authorities.
Better yet, just shutdown the federal government, period. No funding for anything but truly critical functions. That would be the quickest, easiest way to defund a LOT of crap that should never have been funded in the first place.
A judge cannot order federal spending. THAT has to originate in the US House of Representatives.
Isn’t that misprision of felonies, on the part of the judge?
It’s ironic that a legal system that depends on everyone obeying the law and treating it seriously goes so far to protect the people who treat the law like a joke.
That’s their plan for impeachment. Violating a court order. We need to be ready for absolute violence.
The backlash would be legendary but none of these judges have a leg to stand on. The US constitution is the LAW OF THE LAND, and the presidential powers are very very clear on matters of immigration. Plus the judges are aiding and abetting CRIMINALS(That’s what illegal immigrants are)! It’s all illegal and these judges have ZERO standing or precedent. They are just doing it because the left has gone crazy.
Trump could probably even legally send in seal teams to have them tagged and bagged and sent to gitmo after declaring them terrorists and enemies of the state. That’s what they are, blatantly undermining the US constitution, the executive branch of the US, and aiding and abetting criminals. These people weren’t even ELECTED.
They impeach Trump and the left is done. Period.
The answer is quite simple; no executive order necessary. President Trump is tasked with enforcing existing federal immigration laws. Rather than attempting an indirect carrot or stick approach involving federally supplied funding, just start arresting and prosecuting state and city officials who engage in subverting federal immigration laws and or engage in protecting illegal aliens subject to deportation...
A retired state trooper friend had told me many years ago that from his experience, the law is whatever a judge says it is.
Basically they have become extra-constitutional rulers in black robes.

Actually if you read the court orders, this particular case seems to be making a mountain out of a mole hill.
The government admitted that it applied to only a few funds that had very specific conditions in the legislation. The injunction basically said that it was conforming to the governments own interpretation of the order and only blocking the unconstitutional funds that the government had already said it didn’t apply to.

So...the DOJ could only use 3 grant programs to withhold money and they can STILL use those 3 avenues today, in spite of the judge’s ruling. Makes me wonder why they even used an EO to start the plan. They could have started withholding funds without any fanfare at all. The MSM gets to beat him up over this, and it looks like a loss for Team Trump when it really is not, except in the public arena.
This sounds like a really foolish mistake by Team Trump, maybe being done just to placate the base.
I agree but Dems and Pubs would both vote to impeach him if he did it. He’d have to bag and tag the whole Swamp!
