My take too.
There are very few things that the senate would have to be informed about by the president and THIS team.
Anything the house also would have to be told ? Why just the senate ?

Sure hope you’re right. We really don’t need this now but it may be necessary.

Kinda funny. You’d think the white house staff would just go to the senate and address them there??

No details yet, but I’ve read elsewhere that the House has also been called to a briefing sometime today.

I disagree. This is so unprecedented it would basically be telegraphing a very serious and yooge decision, which is something Trump has sworn he isn't strategically stupid enough to do. This looks to me like brinksmanship. The bluff of war. I agree with some of what you say. I could see this meeting with the Senators being useful either way - to bluff NK or to warn our allies we may be ready to attack. Trump wants NK to take the 1st step. If Trump puts enough pressure on Fat Boy he may make a fatal mistake.

They will meet in dining room. (Serving Trump water and a really nice piece of chocolate cake?) Should have had them bussed to Mar-a-lago.

While nuking their text/launch sites, simultaneously lay down a hundred or so B52 bomb runs over their artillery lines along North Korea's southerner most land area along the border, which is closest to Seoul, SK.

I’m not suggesting that this means military action isn’t still possible. Given a long enough timeline on the current course, it’s very probable. I’m just suggesting that it would be strategically stupid to make a move like this tipping your hand that intervention is imminent if at really is. To me it suggest that our I.N.T.E.L.I.G.E.N.C.E. is saying Kim doesn’t think our threats are credible. Basically, he isn’t scared enough to break.

Trump ought to give them all misinformation on his intentions/timelines etc. Lets these Senators leak all that.
