GOP to use Democrats’ past votes against them; Feinstein, Schumer all voted to build wall

Republican lawmakers, making good on President-elect Donald Trump’s campaign promise to build a wall along the southern U.S. border, may use Democrats’ past votes and statements on the issue against them. In 2006, under the George W. Bush administration, Congress passed a bill called the Secure Fence Act, which mandated double-layer fencing from San Diego to the southern tip of Texas. In 2007, through the appropriations process, the language was amended to certify 700 miles of fencing to be required, at the discretion of the Department of Homeland Security. Twenty-six Senate Democrats voted for the measure, including Chuck Schumer, Dianne Feinstein, Barack Obama, Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton. “Democrats are solidly behind controlling the border, and we support the border fence,” Ms. Feinstein, California Democrat, told the Los Angeles Daily News at the time. “We have to get tough on the border. There’s no question the border is a sieve.” In a 2006 speech to the Council on Foreign Relations, Mrs. Clinton said: “There isn’t any sensible approach except to do what we need to do simultaneously: you know, secure our borders with technology and personnel, physical barriers if necessary in some places.” And in pushing for comprehensive immigration reform in 2009, Mr. Schumer praised the Secure Fence Act for making the U.S.-Mexican border less porous.

Whether it was being for it then and not for it now, it makes no difference because for decades and more the democrat party and others have demonstrated they are not to be believed. That is why Trump was elected to change it and allow Americans to make America great again, and that starts with voting out the likes of the Clintons, Chuck Schumer, Obama and others, and voting in those worthy and prove their worthiness by working for Americans instead of themselves alone..

The media needs to stop pretending these pretentious usurpers have any sense of legislative power. They are the MINORITY - where they belong. They are NOT Democratic Majority Leaders, they’re not SENIOR anything, they’re not jack squat.

The only power that they have is what media gives them and that which our RINO poltroons cede to them. It is disgusting and they all need to be held to standards much, much beyond their ken.

American values, American ways and AMERICAN goals, not what’s best for DC, NY and LA.

it doesn’t matter how they voted in the past, their new marching orders say ‘resist’ so every minute item that comes before the house and senate will be ‘resisted’

Start running commercials in their home states.

Schumer also voted for Gorsuch for Federal Judge.

Things are a little different this time around.

The Dems will have to take the fall for the shutdown.

What the GOP does not understand is that just as Harvardians can change their sex and gender identity from day to day, so Democrats can change their position on anything from day to day.

Every position was expressed with the escape clause “At this time”.

Paul Ryan is a bigger roadblock than all the whining democrats.

He may not be the worst republican Speaker of the House ever but he’s working hard to compete for the title.

“”they’re not jack squat.””

One of my favorite lines from Everybody Loves Raymond:

Raymond: They don’t know jack.

Brother Robert: Squat. Jack squat!!

But you’re right - they’re far from making any sense at all.

The Dems were for the wall like the Repubs were for repealing ObamaCare - vote for it when they know it won’t be passed then do nothing when they have a President who will sign it and make excuses later on.
