Continuing its federal shakeups, the Trump administration dismissed Obama-appointed U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy on Friday — less than three years after he took the post under former President Barack Obama.
Murthy was relieved of his duties effective immediately, and his position will be temporarily filled by Deputy Surgeon General Sylvia Trent-Adams as the White House looks for a replacement, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said in a statement.
Trent-Adams, Murthy’s replacement, is one of the first nurses to ever be appointed surgeon general. Her picture had already replaced Murthy’s on the department’s official social media accounts by Friday evening.

It probably was an asked for and given resignation rather than ‘fired’. Surgeon General is not a cabinet level position any more is it?

Like he was only there a few days.
Three years in a position is a good long time for a political appointee in Washington.

The number of crimes obie committed are too numerous to list but going by just the one where his hand tying rule of engagement let to the downing of the Chinook helicopter with 40plus troop including a bunch of SEALS; his punishment should be far more final than simply getting him out of our country once he is tried and convicted. He can't be tried or convicted on the crime I just mentioned unfortunately so one of the more domestic murders will have to do.
More evidence the Harvard/Yale career track to the WH is long past it’s sell-by date. This group of immature, pampered dolts is deliberately sabotaging American exceptionalism.
I have a relative 100 percent VA mental disability..and there is no way I would be comfortable around that paranoia with a gun. He will go off on tangents thinking someone is trying to kill him..even family members. We have to call MHCAM to do checks on him when we see the signs.
Even they take multiple people when doing checks on him when he goes into this downward spiral
