An American Airlines attendant has been suspended after smacking a mother with a baby stroller onboard a domestic flight Friday afternoon, according to passengers.
The woman had just boarded a 2:18 p.m. flight from San Francisco to Dallas when the shocking incident occurred.
A video posted to Facebook by Surian Adyanthaya caught the tumultuous aftermath.
OMG! AA Flight attendant violently took a stroller from a lady with her baby on my flight, hitting her and just missing the baby, Adyanthaya captioned the video.
The footage doesnt catch the moment when the flight attendant allegedly struck the woman, but the atmosphere in the cabin gets tense as a man steps in to defend her.
Hey bud, you do that to me and Ill knock you flat, the man says to the attendant as the distraught woman stands to the side clutching her baby, with tears streaming down her face.
You stay out of this, the attendant fires back.
The man then takes a step forward and the attendant immediately turns confrontational.
Hit me, cmon, bring it on! the attendant shouts.

I flown AA for years and as an adult have yet to see the caring and concern their FAs supposedly have. For the most part, they have all been cranky Bs. But nice job cya, AA.
Sudden Stewardess Syndrome...
Look at her forehead for the answer to that.
She may have been told she could put it in overhead or the flight attendant took it from her at the door to be stored elsewhere on the plane. I've had that happen with carry-ons. But he hit her in the forehead with the stroller! She had twin babies.
I'd say the story is pretty accurate since AA has already taken responsibility and admitted the attendant was wrong.
Man, I never wanna get smacked with a baby stroller. Does Mom have a license to stroll a deadly baby stroller?
Even if this was not a dry run, it is a data point now. The airline’s public response is dangerous.
Wonderful!
One captain I flew with got on the PA and asked people to sit and get out of the aisle so he could see to back out of the gate.
Bon, your killing me. LOL
Custom hysterical real time graphics.
Beautiful man, beautiful.
You certainly got more out of that video than was actually shown. Where did you get your information from? Who said the altercation was over her wanting to keep the stroller? If that was the case, it probably folded up and would have been put in the overhead bin so she could get it down and handle the baby with the bags accompanying it on leaving the plane. Mothers are adept at thinking and planning ahead - well, make that “women” have that talent. It apparently wasn’t a problem at check in.
I was more amazed at the tub of lard passing for a flight attendant and can’t say the one or two female attendants who also appeared weren’t what I picture as flight attendants. What’s their pay scale? $2.15 an hour?
And the officer standing in the aisle - obviously from the cockpit but he just stands and watches the whole thing like a passerby without calming it down? Captain, or First Officer or Flight Engineer - totally useless.
A female flight attendant had given her permission to look for a storage space as it folds up small, but said she would have to check it in if there was no room.'She was looking for space when the male attendant tried to take it away from her... and she said she told him the other attendant had told her it was okay to look,' Morgan said.
'Hit me!' The shocking moment an American Airlines flight attendant challenges a passenger to a....
ROTFL!!!
She obviously did not find storage for it and was telling the flight attendant to “give me my stroller”. She was not saying “find a storage place for it.”
She keeps asking to have her stroller. How can you miss that?
As many posters have stated already, we don’t really know what transpired prior to the video being shot, but that mother definitely has a large red welt or injury on her forehead. I’m just going to throw this out there, although it’s a bit unkind. That flight attendant looks and sounds as if he is gay. I’ve been noticing more and more that the male attendants are gay, or at least effect gay mannerisms and speech. (Yes, I am stereotyping a bit here). Perhaps they are just effeminate. Why are gays always so hateful?
