Fox News Channel ditched Bill O’Reilly on Wednesday following the revelation of a series of sexual harassment allegations.
His accusers—including Juliet Huddy, Andrea Tantaros, and Gretchen Carlson—also tellingly no longer work at Fox News. But the women who never worked at Fox News strike as the ultimate victims. Those who share the chromosomes of the aggrieved parties but not a CV that includes girl-next-door looks, or a rock-star boyfriend, or a Miss America crown don’t, generally, get hired in cable news.
Strangely, the ladies that cable news regards as bringing viewers the most articulate, insightful opinions, cogent analysis, and trusted, steady delivery of information all exhibit a highest common denominator: 10. Even on The Five, viewers see no fives. God apparently blessed the best-looking women with the most desirable attributes in other categories, too.
Sure, ugly people can get on the Fox News Channel—if they’re guys (If you want proof of this, turn it on right now). But it really, really helps to appear really, really good looking if you want a spot on Fox News Channel and you don’t have a penis. The ladies never allowed within the sights of any Fox News Channel camera suffered from the sexism of the TV-news business far more than the on-air talent subjected to leers, propositions, and unwanted comments.
Where’s their multimillion-dollar settlements?
Sex sells, especially on cable news. Ugly women need not apply. Fat women need not apply. Old women need not apply. Hot women? You’re hired.

Ever notice on The Five, Kimberly is always swinging/moving her long leg(s) every few seconds?
What heterosexual man wouldn’t have noticed her wiggling and squirming around while bouncing her leg up and down in a slow, progressing to a more rapid, rhythmic motion?
Do women think we’re idiots and don’t know that type of leg movement produces a sexually pleasurable feeling to the female? More than once I told my wife that she’s getting close to ‘exploding’ (if you get my drift). Mrs. Panax agreed that she better “slow it down” or it might prove quite an embarrassing moment in front of 30 million viewers.
Think camera angle and her obvious placement on the set, always to the left and right out front where all could get an unobstructed view. The poor cameraman must have spent the entire segment on his knees in order to get the ‘best shot’.
Women get offended if a guy tries to flirt with them, and THEY do not find HIM desirable.
It comes from the female biological desire to get the best man they can get(hypergamy). By your daring to flirt with her, you are telling her you think you are the best guy she can get. If she disagrees, she becomes highly offended.
this may be true! If OReilly looked like Jon Hamm, there may not have been such bad feelings about it all.
All I know is I tried to watch The Factor last night w/o Bill, and man, he owned that show. Perino was boring.

Of course this author conveniently forgets about Greta... no one would put her into the bimbo category that I do agree every othe female on the channel has the looks of. Dressed like going to a night club instead of work... insanely short dresses, screw me now heels, etc...
But yes there is no doubt fox used the sex sells angle to the nth degree with its female casting... but this isn’t surprising other than the over the top nature of it. TV is about appearance and like it or not it’s not easy to find an unattractive broadcast female anchor on any news program in a market of reasonable size.
There is a reason beer commercials have fit young women in their commercials and not 40 somethings that long ago let themselves go because well... why bother?
Yes, what is name? Now we have Jose Beha, she is attractive as Bett Midler without plastic surgery.

No, but it’s that old argument about rape. Women deserving it because they wore x.
No one wants to look at ugly women on tv, no one. Dig up Helen Thomas and reanimate her corpse and look that the ratings.
It doesn’t need to be explained or apologized for, it’s human nature. If a dude is flipping their the channels and there’s a hot piece in front on his eyes he’s more likely to stop and watch.
And they did have Greta Van Sustern for a long time so it’s not even true they only hired “hotties”.
And it’s not like all them are “10’s” either, they just aren’t fat or ugly or 200 years old. Kiran Chetry like 15 years ago was the only one to really turn my head.

It used to. I just logged in and there is no longer a OANN channel. For grins I checked to see what a yearly subscription would cost and it’s a good thing I wasn’t drinking anything. $130 a year!!!
