In an apparent departure from his pro-life record, Sen. Dean Heller told a largely hostile crowd at a town hall even this week that he supports federal funding of Planned Parenthood.
The Nevada Republican, who has spoken out and voted against forcing states to fund the nations leading abortion provider, faced several vocal activists questioning his stance.
In response to one attendees question, Heller promised to protect Planned Parenthood.

Because they have no spine and no gonads
They don’t work out for Republicans because the town halls are stacked and packed with libtard Rats.
Here in Maine, Sen. Susan Collins refuses to hold these town halls, because she said there are one or two disruptors that ruin it for everyone.
(It’s actually more than one or two moonbats).
Maybe he should talk to Mitch McConnell. He seems to have grow a spine recently.
DEFUND
Resign, Heller. YOU are worthless. YOU can’t stand up to looters and liars.
(perhaps, prison would better suit you)
He should respond that no one is taking away anyone’s right to have an abortion. He is protecting the right of everyone not having to pay for it.
This is now bringing to college type screaming and idiocy to town halls.
Basically the left figures it can bully any elected official at these forums into doing their bidding.
Wow, Susan Collins said that? I don’t normally agree with her about much.
Yeah, Republicans need to stop having these. Otherwise, it is only a matter of time until someone is assassinated by one other these goons.
Man, these town halls are not working out for Republicans.

RepubliCAVEINS.
This news makes me sick
So I take it conservatives aren’t going to the townhalls? If not, why not? The future of the Republic is at stake. Why hold them if they are just going to be leftist pressure cookers for Republicans?
I would be demanding that any attendees prove that they live in the district. And I would be telling the hostile crowd that if they want PP funded, to send them a private donation. Elections have consequences. If R’s cannot do what they were elected to do, they need to step aside for other R’s who will.
Plenty of time for a primary opponent. The last one, Hack, didn’t get it and paid the price.
It’s not the Town Hall, it’s Heller getting worn down by the daily local ads buys, with gut-wrenching stories of women praising PP, telling people to call Sen Heller.
Patriots are reminded that the states have never expressly constitutionally delegated to the corrupt feds the specific power to tax and spend for abortion purposes. So federal funding for abortions is based on constitutionally nonexistent federal government powers.
More specifically, career lawmakers are exploiting low-information women voters in the following way with respect to federal abortion funds. Corrupt lawmakers are promising such women funding for abortion in exchange for their votes, such women probably not understanding that the constitutionally limited power feds have no constitutional authority to tax and spend for such a purpose.
Drain the swamp! Drain the swamp!
Remember in November 18 !
Since Trump entered the 16 presidential race too late for patriots to make sure that there were state sovereignty-respecting candidates on the primary ballots, patriots need make sure that such candidates are on the 18 primary ballots so that they can be elected to support Trump in draining the unconstitutionally big federal government swamp.
Such a Congress will also be able to finish draining the swamp with respect to getting the remaining state sovereignty-ignoring, activist Supreme Court justices off of the bench.
In fact, if Justice Gorsuch turns out to be a liberal Trojan Horse then we will need 67 patriot senators to remove a House-impeached Gorsuch from office.
Noting that the primaries start in Iowa and New Hampshire in February 18, patriots need to challenge candidates for federal office in the following way.
While I Googled the primary information above concerning Iowa and New Hampshire, FReeper iowamark brought to my attention that the February primaries for these states apply only to presidential election years. And after doing some more scratching, since primary dates for most states for 2018 elections probably havent been uploaded at this time (March 14, 2017), FReepers will need to find out primary dates from sources and / or websites in their own states.
Patriots need to qualify candidates by asking them why the Founding States made the Constitutions Section 8 of Article I; to limit (cripple) the federal governments powers.
Patriots also need to find candidates that are knowledgeable of the Supreme Court's clarifications of the federal governments limited powers listed below.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
State inspection laws, health laws, and laws for regulating the internal commerce of a State, and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c. are not within the power granted to Congress [emphasis added]. Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936.
I don’t believe republican politicians are spineless or caving.......they are simply showing their true colors. They tell voters what they want to hear to get elected, and elected office is what they are after...period.
Joe Heck was the last GOP candidate in NV.
He was a Cheap Labor Express stooge, just like Heller.
Heller voted for Rubio’s Gang of Amnesty and will vote for the next one of he isn’t replaced.
Maybe. We will see
Heller is the only Republican remotely in danger. If a vote came up on funding planned murderhood he would be “allow to” vote for funding to fool the mutts.
Another lawn chair just like McCain.
red
Our representative doesn’t do town halls. Instead, he has phone conferences with registered and voting Republicans. He picks and chooses who is to be on the calls. Works great!
They are not working out because the agitators are out in force. The Republicans are fools for unfurling their sails in bogus democrat high winds.
