The left's takedown of Bill O'Reilly was only partly the result of an organized campaign of destruction. Mr. O'Reilly, like Roger Ailes before him, became a victim of his own bad behavior.
Fox News management made the decision to let O'Reilly go not because of the highly publicized settlements the network made with 5 women who accused the host of sexual harassment. The network decided to ax O'Reilly because there are apparently several other women who are deciding whether or not to press forward with similar suits. (Reports indicate that an internal investigation carried out by a third party shows that there are also other Fox News employees who are going to be accused of sexual harassment in the future.)
Not all the women making these accusations are liberal plants. But whether you believe that O'Reilly is entirely innocent - the target of radical leftists out to destroy Fox News - or not, the fact is that Ailes, O'Reilly, Michael Flynn, and other conservatives who have recently been victimized by organized liberal attacks are not the primary targets of the left's smear campaigns.
It's President Donald Trump who has a bullseye on his back. Roger Simon of PJ Media:

That was always so disgusting and infuriating to watch.

Breaking news....ALL the FOX hosts overtalk and interrupt their guests. BOR was the worst, Hannity comes in 2nd, followed by Lou Dobbs.

Nailed it. This is why the Trump win was spectacular and Clinton and her sycophants are still in shock. Fox jumped the shark years ago as the go to for relevant conservative news. Most people get news from BS sources and have no time for real news,intellect and analysis.
If Hannity gets attack, it would be because of somthing he had said in the past about libs.
Roger Ailes ran the most popular network in cable history on a shoestring because he knew the secret. It's wasn't fancy sets, or 'known talent' or foreign news bureaus... (like CNN had) - or even CNN's world-wide market penetration.
Nope Ailes could never compete on that playing field using the cheapskates meager funding - crumbs Murdock meted out.
Ailes knew THE important truth - - 'the secret'...
Ailes could put a conservative in front of a camera - sitting at a folding table - with no graphics, no far flung reporters, no hightech anything... And crowds would beat down his door to watch. One person - sitting at a table for an hour a night - five nights a week. One person NOT a liberal elites.
And that was the genius.
If Murdock's dorky kids want to compete with liberal networks they're gonna have to put a whole lot more money into the operation because NO ONE is going to rush through dinner to watch a bored snarky liberal elite trash them and their life. If Murdock's kids want to do that they better shell out big bucks for name talent, A-list guests and reporters stationed in news bureaus all over the world. Because otherwise it's over and Rick Moran will write the obit...

Greta, Ailes, Me Again, and now Oreilly. These Murdocks are a case study on how to wreck a successful business. Rich, lib, spoiled turds...amateurs playing at business. Probably be flipping burgers if it wasn’t for their old man. Sad.
I wrote off O’Reilly a dozen years ago when I figured out his con. O’Reilly is a ratings whore. Liberal one day, conservative the next. If a show is at best 50% watchable, who needs it?
