Over the past 20 years at Fox News, I have been extremely proud to launch and lead one of the most successful news programs in history, which has consistently informed and entertained millions of Americans and significantly contributed to building Fox into the dominant news network in television. It is tremendously disheartening that we part ways due to completely unfounded claims. But that is the unfortunate reality many of us in the public eye must live with today. I will always look back on my time at Fox with great pride in the unprecedented success we achieved and with my deepest gratitude to all my dedicated viewers. I wish only the best for Fox News Channel.
He didn’t lose any cases. They settled them without a lawsuit to avoid the publicity of a trial. And if they were settled, why is he being punished for them now? Is Don Imus going to get fired again now for the nappy-headed ho comment? Should we fire Rush now for the “slut” comment? Since when is double jeopardy the law of the land?
There should be nothing illegal about someone in “authority” asking someone else out. The only illegality would come in if someone is fired for turning down the offer. And there is no sign at all that O’Reilly did that. The idea that he offered a job for sex to this other woman is entirely implausible. She isn’t saying he made that offer, she’s just conflating different parts of different conversations to build a flimsy case. And she isn’t even suing because she knows she has no case.
Are women strong and independent now, or are they shrinking violets and damsels in distress who don’t have the will to say no if they don’t want to do something? What do feminists want us to believe today?
Let me know when the left is going to police the sexual behavior of Hollywood actors and actresses. Gwyneth Paltrow attended an orgy recently, and things like this just get mentioned in passing in the occasional Vanity Fair article and no one cares. I refuse to be held to the same standards by leftists that they would never hold their own kind to.
I’m glad he’s gone. He expressed a position that was mostly absurd and always progressive. But, mostly, he supported those sluts, named and unnamed, who turned to bite him. And, if I never have to see Arthell Neville again it will be too soon.
He didn’t get fired because of a 13-year-old settled case.
He got fired because of a highly organized, well-funded leftist mob. And if you think they are all going home after this victory and aren’t going to target more people who oppose their radical commie politics, think again.
It’s everyone’s fault but his.
The person who revealed those private conversations is the pig. That’s normally called revenge porn and slut-shaming by the left. But if it hurts conservatives and Republicans, then it’s heroic behavior. People like you who ally with the left and support them in their hypocrisy should be ashamed of themselves.
Don't be ridiculous.
The only way to stop this from continuing is to have someone with the gonads or the feeling they have nothing to lose and they proceed to take out a few of these vultures.
As far as the double standards on TV, recall that Letterman had an apartment behind the set so he could have trysts with whomever he wished. That became known, everyone had a well he should not do that moment and that was the end of it.
Unless there was a direct sex for employment or promotion move, there is no basis for this action by Fox. BOR’s short statement citing no basis in fact is going to cost them dearly for this move both in money and lost viewers.
far as his being a letch, so be it, the nation kept a presidential letch far worse than BOR on board and sheltered him from impeachment for years. There is no moral authority here, just a move to clear the playing field. The dems are great at that, cannot win on the field, win in court.
You don’t elevate and try to build around a senior citizen like Pirro.
The minute you see Bloom's name, as the lawyer ( and/or her mother )...it's codswallop and utter garbage!
The lefties went after Roger, now they brought down Bill....so who is next, Sean ?
My sentiments exactly. This is not winning.
Absolutely agree
This is a public lynching!
Who is next....indeed!
I think the polices of George W Bush had something to do with getting Zero elected.
Badly played, BOR.
The Mike Pence rule — when you are hated by the left, be very careful not to get into compromising positions. They can manufacture compromising positions out of thin air, but it’s best to keep your wife front and center!
Absolutely. I rarely watch TV, but when I do, it's always Fox.......except when O'Riley was on. He was my least favorite of all the shows. I particularly disliked his "Killing" shows and other specials. Though I have an interest in history, his gratuitous violence was simply unnecessary, and made the shows unwatchable for me.
maybe President Trump will offer him a job, too. Which would be awesome to watch. HEADS EXPLODE EVERYWHERE.
I have mixed feelings. We already know he was caught with Mackris. But some of these other stories...these ladies shoulda/coulda taken care of the problem in a very direct way. Huddy went out with him AFTER he tried the awkward kiss. Why? He probably took that as a “there is still hope!”
Rupert built a media empire, only to let his ball-less, metrosexual sons turn it over to their feminist wives for destruction.
Fox News is dead.
