The most competitive special Congressional election yet has arrived, and we will be providing returns live tonight right here. In addition to our district-wide totals, we will be analyzing county and precinct level returns. For the Democrats, the hope is that Jon Ossoff can pull out an outright win tonight- if he gets over 50% of the vote in this crowded field, he’s in as the district’s new Representative in Congress. If he falls short, then he will face off against one of four likely Republican opponents in a runoff on June 20th: Karen Handel, Bob Gray, Judson Hill, or Dan Moody. Polls close at 7pm and we anticipate at least early vote tallies to begin rolling in shortly thereafter. Refresh this page for the latest results tonight out of Georgia.

It’s boundaries were redrawn after census 2010 to give Georgia an additional congressional seat. It includes heavily developed parts of metro Atlanta. It doesn’t look gerrymandered, it’s boundaries are pretty solid and even. It’s always been heavily Republican. Not really sure why they are lukewarm for Trump. I’d be curious to hear what people in the area think.

Two big donor Democrats we spoke with down here already say Ossoff can't bear [sic] Handel in general. Will not give their money anymore.
Man, did I ever screw up that post. I think maybe some of you made sense of it. Ha. The many GOP candidates will collectively get more votes than the Dem. In the two person election in June the GOP frontrunner will garner enough votes from the other losing Repubs to win the run=off. At least it’s supposed to run like that. We’ll see.
Oh they need to double down. You know if they plow 20-30 million into this race they can win it. Come on Hollywierd are you men or mice. You can do it.

DNCNN is rambling on about how unpopular Trump is and how they are going to turn the House. Claiming he is at 40% which is exactly where he was on Nov 1 according to these scientific polls.
I’ll disagree about taking Rs from the House and Senate to fill Cabinet posts. Trump himself came into office with not one minute’s experience in the federal government .. or any government for that matter. He needed people with experience in the workings of the government. If the Rs in GA can’t hold this seat, it’s not a problem of Trump having chosen a Representative from what is for all intents and purposes a R district.
However inconvenient to have a large number of candidates running from the same party in an open primary, what’s the alternative? Party bosses deciding who can run and who can’t? I’d rather take my chances than to have more party bosses deciding who our candidates will be. Maybe there should be traditional primaries, one for each party, but in the alternative, anything is preferable to some party bosses picking the candidates. Or last fall we’d have had to vote for Jeb Bush.
If you know those things about him (Islamic money), you GA people need to help Ms Handel out by exposing rubber neck. Gads, we HAVE to stop the conquest by Islam. We can’t sit at our keyboard and expect them to change their mind about taking America away from us. We are going to have to “vet” every candidate of both parties to week out those rats.
