The presidential election of 2016 shocked the world, but no one was more shocked than Hillary Clinton. A new book on the Clinton campaign contains the revelation that Clinton had to be pressured into conceding her loss on election night by then-President Barack Obama.
“POTUS doesn’t think it’s wise to drag this out,” White House political director David Simas is reported as saying to Robby Mook, Clinton’s campaign manager.
The campaign did not concede at that point.

I wonder how that conversation went. Hillary’s last ditch moves were reaching out to Obama and taking a sense of what magic rabbits they can pull out of the blender. Let’s not pretend she just called Obama to cry and apologize.
Trump’s campaign seems picture perfect now. Planned even to the point of heavily courting the Military, both average enlistee to Senior line officers.

Today will be the funeral of Dan Rooney, owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and station KDKA,Pittsburgh reported that former potus, Barak Obama will attend the funeral, as will former, VP Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill, plus John Kerry and his wife, Theresa Heinz (who had not been seen in public for a number of years) and Eric Holder will all attend the funeral...
So we shall see if KDKA is reporting the truth or FAKE NEWS..

Agree 100%. Obama was going to lose in 2012. He would have lost, without cheating. People smarter than he is stole Ohio for him. That’s all it took.

Those three recounts uncovered some fraud—especially in Michigan—but it wasn’t pursued and fully investigated. Trump wanted an investigation. Do you recall McConnell saying there would be no $ allocated for vote fraud investigation? Obama couldn’t have known McConnell would put his foot down and forbid it.

Obama bats for both teams. I remember right after he won reelection he made a public pass at the female Thai President in the most beta manner. She was horrified and shut him down pretty quickly.
The first time I thought Obama did something correct.
I was hoping that she would appear before her supporters at the Javits Center, start to thank them, then just completely lose it and and throw one of her hysterical, profanity laced temper tantrums on live TV, blaming anyone and everyone for her loss.
The campaign would have seized all cameras and equipment. To me, it seems drunk violent rage is likely BECAUSE there is no video or photo essay of a dignified poll watching party.
We have all the footage of euphoria fading to concern turning to disappointment turning to grief, but only of her supporters waiting out in the big room. Nothing of the campaign principals upstairs in the suite.
I am surprised the hotel staff hasn’t gone on the record after having to clean up the suite.

He probably knew it was much closer than everyone was thinking. But, in FL they outperformed in several bellwether districts/counties. Did they have advance knowledge about how well Trump was outperforming in all the other counties. I remember that you noted in your book that the early vote in FL was not nearly as good for her as they needed, and you thought they probably knew that.
Once OH and FL were called, the NYT website had Trump with a 95% chance of winning. That’s when I knew it was over. The networks delayed at least three hours in calling PA, when it was obvious well before midnight that Trump was going to win there and get over 270. If I recall, most of Philly reported fairly early, which was a surprise. If it was possible for HRC to win by cheating, PA would have been the place to manufacture the votes.
