A leading weapons academic has claimed that the Khan Sheikhoun nerve agent attack in Syria was staged, raising questions about who was responsible.
Theodore Postol, a professor emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), issued a series of three reports in response to the White House's finding that Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad perpetrated the attack on 4 April.

Obviously this was Soros! What a jerk.
I had an uncle who worked his career in the foreign service as a spook. He told me, “You’ll never know what really happened in many situations. Get used to it, there’s a reason for that.”
For many people, not knowing the facts is an excuse to make up whatever fits their fantasy.
Wayne, do you think the knowledge of these things is as good in Syria as it is here? Do you think their medical practices are as advanced? Do you think they even consider some of the things we do?
Look at the way they try to tell lies as if nobody will know. We’re not dealing with the best and brightest of the world IMO.
So sure, they don’t use good procedure. Who could have expected that?
Time honored CT tradition.
When you don’t KNOW, make shit up and claim it must be true.
I’m not certain what CT is, so it renders your comments unintelligible to me.
yes, it does matter.
We are not democrats...
Sorry, Conspiracy Theory.
Postol has been on the RT network. He’s a Russian stooge.
You all should believe what the mainstream media says. Especially because the mainstream media reinforces what the Trump Administration says.
Remember, comrades: Ignorance is Strength!
Agree; I’m just saying there’s a reason people are speculating so much!
Really? You'd make a good democrat. I am ashamed of people that think like that on our side
Well, I guess the 14 (??) Intelligence agencies who confirmed the Russians hacked the election just lost another bunch of credibility.
Hope Trump asks for an investigation, as an opportunity to clean the
houses.
I guess most of the presidential briefings are useless, designed for Trump fail
Thanks for the clarification. I appreciate it.
I agree. IMO, we have too much of that here.
Not every person in government is out to get us. Not every person in government hates us and this nation. Not every intelligence person is lying to Trump.
Always assuming the worst makes some folks look bad.
Yes, there are reasons to doubt things sometimes, but lets not let this get the best of us. Not everything we doubt it groundless. Not everything that happens is our fault.
You listen to some folks and it all boils down to them disbelieving our nation as much as any Islamic follower does.
Who cares if it was staged. It was an excellent opportunity for Trump to take over, and boy did he ever.
Same mindset behind “who cares Clinton bombed an aspirin factory, it serves to distract from bad news!”.
This ladies in gentlemen is what we call speculation.
Same thing with what the government is saying, since they haven’t provided any evidence. The professor presented an argument, which is more than the government did.
If there was more real information available there would be fewer questions.`
For what reason they might not want to release such information?
Hope Trump asks for an investigation, as an opportunity to clean the houses.
The United States government already gave the verdict by bombing Assad, so the last thing they would want now is an investigation.
Theodore Postol is a weapons systems quack.
The US Government reported that Syrian Aircraft that launched from the targeted air base were above the area dropping ordinance at the exact same time the agent was released. The chance of pure coincidence is astronomical.
That is sufficient evidence based on intelligence, not speculation.
That is sufficient evidence based on intelligence, not speculation.
You’re wasting your time. Fans of fascist Russia and its proxies like Syria will believe any fairy tale to stay in their dream world. A few years ago we went around and around on Ukraine. They insisted it was a local uprising. Then Putin handed out the medals to the Russian soldiers involved in the covert op. Unsurprisingly, none of our local Putinists ever issued a mea culpa.
