1,000? Relatively speaking, that is a HUGE number. It’s hard to believe, frankly...
That was my thought, also. It seems hard to believe that such an armada as this could be controlled like the new-age doctrine dictates.
I can understand near a thousand B-17s over Germany, IIRC they did it, but they were mostly just “set loose” according to an overall orderly plan. I just find it difficult that any real-time control could be had today. That’s pretty stressing IMO.
We have over 6,000 in inventory.
And I still don’t believe it.
They could be lying just to intimidate Kim Jung.
The initial air campaign in the 1991 Gulf War involved 1,800 U.S. aircraft and over 100,000 sorties so this seems numerically possible. But the build-up (Desert Shield) occurred over a six-month period.
My reaction.
We could do it, since we’ve got something like 13K aircraft in total including support craft, but to move a thousand more to the region ... It would take some doing.
I’m betting we’ve already got that many nearby.
I’m surprised DUMBO left us that many. Much less pilots or bombs.
This tabloid is barely safe for work - the Enquirer with nudity. Just FYI
I cannot imagine being on the receiving end of that. I understand it drove some people mad.

The allies undertook a military exercise, codenamed Max Thunder, in a bid to sharpen tactical skills and test aerial combat capability.
Around 1,000 US airmen and fighter jets have teamed up with the South Korean Air Force in a joint combat training to ensure they are ready to combat the Norths provocations, the Pacific Command (PACOM) announced today.
It sounds like a lot to me.
Probably mean 100
