Assuming this news story is valid (one has to continually wonder these days), the unnamed poisonous gas used is reported to cause blindness, weakness, disorientation, and severe sneezing--mustard gas I wonder?

Anyway, chemical warfare is illegal. I hope the US will refrain from firing $60 million in cruise missiles in retaliation.

The question is not whether Trump will do anything. The question is why would anyone try to ask whether Trump will do anything.

I think it is the UN’s turn to step up. We should stay out of the way.

What a tragedy is South Sudan. Predominately “black African”, tribal and oppressed in all of modern Sudan history under predominately Arab, Muslim Sudan, South Sudan splintered after a brokered peace with Sudan gave them independence, and rebel leaders, in power disputes with each other, led their sides into open civil war.

It's going to take two centuries, at least, before the African continent as a whole will be ready to join civility.

The Islamic Mid-East? Never happen there.

That is what I read - competing tribal/ethnic groups.

I am so glad that I do not live in Africa.

There are 14,000 UN Peacekeepers in Sudan who can’t fight. Maybe it’s time for the AU to take over.
