For someone who styles herself an advocate of diversity, Joy Reid has a funny way of shutting down diverse voices. Legal Insurrection has documented how in the past she has silenced and even ejected guests who ran afoul of her speech codes.
Back at it today, Reid reprimanded Republican consultant Katon Dawson for referring to the Democrat party. On this show, we say Democratic, instructed Reid, telling Dawson that were going to have to sit down. Were going to have a talking-to. Being lectured by Joy Reid: now theres something to look forward to!

“Apparently Joy Reid isnt an advocate of speaking English properly. Yo!”
She’s Black, so I guess “Democratic” is Ebonics for RAT!
I think the “ick” should be added.
Some people can’t help but waving their ignorance like a big red flag on a windy day.
I also don't refer to people like you as "liberals."
There is very little that is democratic about the democrat party.
How many democrats would have been interested in running for the 2016 democrat presidential nomination but were shut ddown, or knew they would be shut down, if they challenged Hillary Clinton?
Remember that in the republican primaries there were 17 candidates but the democrats only had one semi-serious Hillary opponent.
And look how they rigged the primaries against Sanders to ensure the nomination was handed to Hillary.
That’s “democratic”?
This from the people who refer to “the current president” rather than mention Trumps’ name. They can rot for all I care.
There’s nothing democratic about a bunch of fascists sitting around a table plotting to take away our liberties.
I say it the way I CHOOSE to say it. Joy’s big on CHOICE
for DEMOCRATS; but not for REPUBLICANS (except if they
want to purchase an abortion.
DEMOCRAT PARTY!!
Nothing “democratic” about Joy Behar.
That is the real name - democrat party.
I’ve never seen that show...When I first read the thing, I was thinking about that other “Joy”...Behar, I think...
"The democracy of to-day hold the liberty of one man to be absolutely nothing, when in conflict with another man's right of property. Republicans, on the contrary, are for both the man and the dollar; but in cases of conflict, the man before the dollar."I remember once being much amused at seeing two partially intoxicated men engage in a fight with their great-coats on, which fight, after a long, and rather harmless contest, ended in each having fought himself out of his own coat, and into that of the other. If the two leading parties of this day are really identical with the two in the days of Jefferson and Adams, they have perfomed the same feat as the two drunken men.
"But soberly, it is now no child's play to save the principles of Jefferson from total overthrow in this nation.
"One would start with great confidence that he could convince any sane child that the simpler propositions of Euclid are true; but, nevertheless, he would fail, utterly, with one who should deny the definitions and axioms. The principles of Jefferson are the definitions and axioms of free society.
"And yet they are denied and evaded, with no small show of success.
"One dashingly calls them "glittering generalities"; another bluntly calls them "self evident lies"; and still others insidiously argue that they apply only to "superior races."
"These expressions, differing in form, are identical in object and effect--the supplanting the principles of free government, and restoring those of classification, caste, and legitimacy. They would delight a convocation of crowned heads, plotting against the people. They are the van-guard--the miners, and sappers--of returning despotism.
"We must repulse them, or they will subjugate us.
"This is a world of compensations; and he who would be no slave, must consent to have no slave. Those who deny freedom to others, deserve it not for themselves; and, under a just God, can not long retain it.
"All honor to Jefferson--to the man who, in the concrete pressure of a struggle for national independence by a single people, had the coolness, forecast, and capacity to introduce into a merely revolutionary document, an abstract truth, applicable to all men and all times, and so to embalm it there, that to-day, and in all coming days, it shall be a rebuke and a stumbling-block to the very harbingers of re-appearing tyranny and oppression."
"Your obedient Servant
"A. Lincoln--"
I say Democrat party to get under their skin. It’s intentional.
The Liberals/Democrats believe (or at least insist) that the USA is a democracy rather than a Republic.
Liberals hate fixed reference points, such as words that actually have concrete definitions, the Constitution or the Bible.
They are so upset that the physical laws of the Universe are so precisely tuned as to demand a Designer that they have developed the Multiverse Theory. As in “keep giving ‘blind chance’ an infinite number of ‘do-overs’ until it gets the correct answers”.
DemocRat party is what it is! Can a leopard change it’s spots?
Nothing Democratic about the Democrat Party!
Eff that Affirmative Action Jackson
Demon Rat Party
Joy, it is never too late to learn that “democrat” is a noun and “democratic” is an adjective. Affirmative action strikes again.
Awww... the dems want their “ick” back. Well, truth be told, they’ve never been without their “ick.”
