53%...very good
Never in doubt. Might have been better to lose. It’s the Russians all over again. More fun that way.
Funny how a piece of news from Kansas can brighten the whole day.
The WINNING continues!!!
Expect this win to be challenged in many nefarious ways, like an Astroturf campaign supposedly mounted in the district, but actually funded by Soros money.
53 to 45%.
‘Surprisingly close’ according to some unbiased newspapers.
Haha.
The closeness of the election in this Republican district should be a clear warning to the Congressiinal GOP that they must soon show results helping the “ordianary” people of the US or risk being swept out of power in a Democratic landslide of reaction in 2018.
Every one of these elections are going to be couched as being a scary bellwether election for a Democrat takeover...
...then everything gets quiet once the Republican holds their seat.
I swear I read...by 10 votes...somewhere...
Trump won this district by 30 points in 2016. The GOP will hopefully have its act together in 2018.
If the GOP in Congress continues “winning” like they did in the Obamacare debacle, they won’t be a majority party in Congress for long.
i thought this was “close.” looks like a solid win to me.
They are really going after this guy in the 2018 election. I understand he is not a great campaigner. It would be in the Country to make sure the RNC expends some extra effort to make sure he gets reelected
I believe half the turnout for the district showed compared to last Nov.
Right. Special elections are rarely bellwethers of any sort, but if you string a bunch of them together and see a trend they might offer some important indicators to either party.
“Stronger than expected challenge”—And he still won by 53%.
I guess you have not seen the news yet.
Agreed.
And yet some freepers here yesterday said it was all over and the Dems would win the seat! You know, the troop of Never-Trumpers who reign around here on various threads.
