White House counselor Kellyanne Conway urged Democrats to come to the bargaining table with President Trump on legislative issues and thinks they may be key to getting Trump's legislative agenda passed.
On Fox News Tuesday, Conway said bipartisan work on tax reform and infrastructure will be key to getting the administration's proposal through Congress. She said working with Trump could be key to some Senate Democrats' re-election chances.
"A number of them may want to listen to their constituents … that are saying we want some type of tax relief to allow us to spur this growth, this 3 to 4 percent growth, that allows us to retain and attract an American workforce," Conway said.
She added, "We would like the Democrats' help on tax reform, on healthcare reform, on infrastructure, and we certainly want Congress to move swiftly on all these."

What kind of tax reform do you think you're going to get with Dem votes? Do you think they will vote to reduce business taxes or taxes on the wealthy?
Compromise with a Democrat is surrender.
Trump and the GOP need to prioritize 10 or so actions, unite behind them, get on the same page with a message that explains how and why they will MAGA, then get off their ass and SELL it to the American people.

One thing we forget about the President, his campaign and subsequent election, is that no one, including Trump himself, declared him to be a conservative ideologue. He hit upon three conservative themes (jobs,immigration, and defense) and was elected as a populist. Everything in the President’s background is one of achieving goals through deal making. Nothing, absolutely nothing suggested he was the second coming of Goldwater or Reagan

We don’t have a choice until we get 60+ republican senators. Anyone who says otherwise does not understand the senate at all.
Trump is pitching this cooperation for several reasons, one being optics. He stands there with his hand extended to ChuckU and Crazy Nancy and sounds perfectly reasonable and sane while they seem like obstructionist same ole, same ole politicians. Plus it makes the Republicans look bad because they can’t get on board to do anything. In a way triangulation that Clinton tried to practice.
He may peel off a few democrats from this tactics and the Republicans will eventually have to get their heads out of their a$$es and actually behave like a majority party. Will see.
Abraham Lincoln had a 7-vote Senate republican majority when elected. What he did was make his case to the American people, and votes will follow - both popular and in congress. The GOP has forgotten how to lead.
We control Congress and the White House. We don’t need no stinkin’ democrats. I hope the Republican Party will someday learn how to wield power when they have it.....like the democrats do when they have it. I also hope Trump provides the leadership required to get more done without working with the democrats.
They lost because their vision of America is not the same as the American people. If they bend to our ways fine. But us bending to their ways better not happen.
Do not misunderstand. Whatever Man has achieved in the past, he can achieve again. But the tactics have always to be adopted to the contextual factors of the particular point in time.

Ryan was elected speaker overwhelmingly twice by the GOP House caucus.
A better package than with. You can find an acceptable compromise that will bring enough Republicans together to pass a fairly conservative tax cut package. Add Democrats and you will have to raise the taxes on someone.
And what are Ryans' top 3 legislative accomplishments? He's another Boehner.
You seem to have a problem understanding how the Senate works. There are only 52 Rep senators. Tax reform will have to use budget reconciliation similar to what the repeal of Obamacare would have used. Can the GOP reach a consensus of at least 50 of them. It is looking more and more doubtful. Will Cruz, Lee, and Paul, for example, agree to a tax reform bill that adds to the deficit.
Will any Democrat sign on to a tax reform bill that cuts taxes for the rich?
