The April 4th, 2017 incident at Khan Sheikhoun has provoked an emotional response around the world after images began to emerge showing civilian adults and children apparently suffering from the effects of chemical weapons. President Donald Trump has stated that the attack has totally changed his views towards the Syrian civil war, and may alter his intended strategy there.
Although Western media immediately accused Bashar al-Assad of participating in a gas attack against his own people, the evidence indicates that the intended target was not immediately in a civilian area and was in fact a location where Syrian White Helmets were on the scene with rebel groups at what observers have claimed was a storage facility for conventional and chemical munitions. Additionally, evidence indicates that rebel groups may have had prior knowledge of the attack and knew that there was a risk of chemical weapons being unleashed. The attack also came in the aftermath of a trip by Senator John McCain to meet with groups known to associate with radical jihadist factions in Syria, at a time when the United States government has been engulfed in a power struggle between different political factions who disagree strongly over what should be appropriate policy in regards to the Syrian civil war.
Evidence which has emerged in the aftermath of the attack at Khan Sheikhoun indicates that not only was the nature of the attack misreported by the media, but that certain individuals on the ground in Syria may have had foreknowledge of the attack up to several days before it happened. On April 3rd, 2017, an anti-Assad journalist tweeted that the next day he would be launching a media campaign to cover airstrikes on the Hama countryside, including the use of chemical weapons.

The official story stinks to high heaven.
Get ready to be destroyed.
I was. I just don’t care.
I never said i dislike everything Trump has done. Far from.
But that doesn’t matter.
You will be called all kinds of nasty things :)
I enjoyed reading them :)
The Syrian Gas Attack Persuasion
Scott Adams wonders why Assad would want to commit "suicide by Trump".
This stinks to high heaven.
This has been my concern all along. And now the article has disappeared at the link...
Did you guys hear what Trump said tonight? Attack Syria because “beautiful children” dead. Ya, for the children card again. Another Obama or Bush speech. Who is his speech writer now? Where is Steve Miller?
I like Trump just fine. Worked my tail off to help him in the primary. Doesn’t mean that he won’t be influenced by the Deep State BS artists. A President has to rely on his intelligence agencies. Unfortunately, they have their own agenda, opposite of Trump’s campaign promises.
Hang in there , brother.
Zero Hedge has been very negative about Trump actions.
I don’t consider them to be an even handed presenter of news any longer.
In watching coverage tonight, I understood that there is some sort of footage of the attack occurring. Not sure who shot it or what kind of footage it is, nor did I see it, but that’s what I understood.
So if it exists, I’ll be interested to see it.
Trump stated tonight that Assad has used Gas a number of times over recent months. That’s something I’m not seeing reported.
Assad may hit a rebel storage facility at some point, but it’s not likely he will time and time again.
It seems there may have been more reason to suspect him than we have been told prior to this.
I love a lot of things he’s done.
But he was wrong here.
HE of all people should know he can’t trust the CIA.
You don’t have to dislike Trump to get bashed, just disagree on an issue.
Slashing EPA, State dept great. Illegals getting kicked out great
Silly transgender law great.
Increase in military spending great
lobbing missiles at a country that is WINNING a war and that was supposedly DRAINED of and signed off on by the US, of all its chemical weapons, was wrong.
I’m not gonna close my eyes tight for 8 years like i did with Bush.
neocons are a STRONG enemy. And Trump is surrounded by them. It will take a while to get rid of them all, if they don’t get the war they want first.
Thanks man. I intend to.
If I’m a concern troll, I’m one of the dumbest ones in history as I’m a vocal supporter of donating to FR and certainly do my share.
And no, the dems and soros aren’t funneling money to me to donate here :)
You had a tail? (did it grow back? how tall is it?)
Who would that be? (please don't tell me Ivanka, and Prince Jared)
I'd like to get on that train. I can't afford decent cigars anymore.
Re footage of one attack. Heard about it. One survivor said that he tried to take photos but was unable. However, he or another person described the attacking plane (or planes) one of the Sukhoi 20’s class.
Now, IF TRUE, the rebels have no airplanes, esp. Russian craft. Assad does. So this is one key item to look for re who attacked IN WHAT delivery system.
Nobody in their right mind believes that Saddam Hussein or the Assads every got rid of ALL THEIR CHEMICAL WEAPONS. The Israelis keep destroying them in Syria.
Nobody knows what the Russian convoy of trucks took out of the large ammo depot right before the US attacked in March, 2003. My son’s unit however found new, green Soviet Bloc CBW suits in Republican Guard ammo bunkers, early April 2003. I’ll leave it at that but other poison chemicals such as cyanide were also found and stories with photos appeared in some papers.
Question to keep in mind: If it wasn’t Syrian planes who dropped the chemical bombs (assuming they were dropped from airplanes), then who is the only other player in Syria to have Russian Sukhoi’s? I’ll let you fill in the blanks.
One alternative possibility is that a wing of the anti-Assad jihadist movement, or a militia arm of Assad, used artillery to shot chemical shells at the civilians.
However, that would leave important shell fragments all over the place. The same for bombs or canister bombs.
We just need to wait a little until a reliable source exams the weapons used, any photos/film taken, and eyewitness statements. Then we can begin to draw conclusions.
Speculation is fine but I wouldn’t bet the house on it.
“What possible motivation would Assad have for gassing anyone at this point?”
Doesn’t matter. If ISIS were the culprits I’d still Tomahawk Assad.
He needs to wipe out ISIS from his territory. Can’t have them running around with chemical weapons.
If Assad can’t do it then maybe he is not the ruthless strongman that we thought he was.
Gee I dunno- why has Assad killed civilians in the past?
