Yeah, I hate who all is on board (pelosi, brits, McCain) but this seems to be the correct response from the new Sheriff if Assad did gas his own people.
They may have later. You are making all sorts of assumptions not based on any facts
That seems to be an official counter-narrative, this question as to what Assad would have to gain from gassing his own people, given the potential for a response. Well, he gassed his own people before, and there was NO response. Mr. Barack “Red Line” Obama did nothing.
Therefore, it is entirely believable that Assad would gas his own people once again, figuring the U.S. would not respond.
Apparently you don't care much either way since every bit of the information out so far has come either openly from the ISIS Muzzies who are known for their random violence and cruelty or not openly to Trump & company from the same Intelligence people who have been lying under oath, spreading baseless lies, and leaking all sorts of half truths about Trump, since the day he was sworn in.
Fine with me if you don't know the answer to something, but just say you don't know instead of pretending that any question you don't like is based on assumptions. There are plenty of chemical agents that could have been used that wouldn't require proctive gear, maybe it was one of those, maybe not.
It is curious, but something like NBC suits probably aren’t common equipment for whoever was coming to aid the victims.
There could be a difference between direct contact with the bomb and secondary exposure. And it’s possible that those handling the victims without protective gear are now experiencing problems. But you make a good observation.
From your ‘puter to God’s ears. I’d vote for that outcome.
Are there enough Communists in Nigeria for Barky to truly feel at home?
The most valid criticism I see is whether this is an act of war requiring Congress’ approval. American history is littered with borderline incidents but most involve some country or band of pirates directly molesting Americans.
It may be Saddam Hussein you are remembering, he gassed the Kurds. Same Baath Party as Assad at least.
I didn’t find a reference to Assad using gas before when I looked for one last night but he certainly killed civilians in other ways. They just didn’t cross the line into a method now regarded as a war crime.
". . . . the Russians, who want to maintain solidarity with their Slavic cousins in the Balkans and prevent an unbroken chain of Islamic territory stretching from the Bosphorus to the border of Croatia."That quote reminds me of the following quote from the March 2017 edition of Hillsdale College's "Imprimis" pamphlet/mailer. Written by Senior Editor of 'The Weekly Standard', Christopher Caldwell,
"One theme runs through Russian foreign policy, and has for much of its history. There is no country, with the exception of Israel, that has a more dangerous frontier with the Islamic world. You would think that this would be the primary lens through which to view Russian conducta good place for the West to begin in trying to explain Russian behavior that, at first glance, does not have an obvious rationale. "Another quote worth repeating illustrates why Putin has become the Progressive left's current boogeyman.
"[President Ronald]Reagans gift as a foreign policy thinker, he said, was not his idealism. It was his ability to set priorities, to see what constituted the biggest threat. Todays biggest threat to the U.S. isnt Vladimir Putin. So why are people thinking about Putin as much as they do? Because he has become a symbol of national self-determination."
The whole episode stinks of Wag the Dog.
First gas attack under suspicious circumstances.
No action by Trump.
Second attack where there is alleged video, the Israeli’s supposedly even know the name of the pilot and the Russian’s are not too upset about it and even deny is was Assad.
More unconfirmed video.
Trump launches Tomahawks with little to no actual damage.
Schumer and Pelosi approve.
McCain is muttering incoherent garbage.
The airfield is already back in operation.
All for the kids. Makes me sick.
So you take the Israeli’s at their word? I don’t when it comes to this type of scenario.
Just like the starving children in Somalia and the atrocities in the Balkans the MSM would have been all over this night after night until Trump’s hand was forced
Not good

Now also consider the damage incurred with the insane enabling of Iran through financial and political enrichments which the previous-occupant-of-the-oval-office provided to the nihilist ayatollahs of Iran in his waning months as president. The fierce determination of these ayatollahs to bring harm to the West does present an alarming threat to our current Commander in Chief, hence the suggestion that the latest kinetic action order was in this nation's interest.
A sponsor put up an updated one, sad that z hedge pulled the first.
“The Israelis are convinced it was Assad.”
The Israelis have been wanting Assad out for a long time. In the case of Syria and Assad, I trust the Israelis as much as I trust my ex mother-in-law.
Good..l
You poor thing. You can’t prevail on the current issue, so you go running to different topics in desperation.
Remember, you don’t respect my opinion on anything. Why are you seeking one?
