Up to now, Freepers have lauded Trump for playing 4-D chess. It will take time to see how this plays out. Trump may have seen no downside risk to acting abruptly, even with uncertain information. If it turns out that Assad’s forces were not responsible for the “chemical weapons”, then Trump will be mildly embarrassed at taking an unprovoked punch at someone we’ve said we want out of power anyway. He will still have demonstrated that he’s willing to take immediate, strong action based on the best information he has, and focused only on military targets.
The message goes far beyond Syria — to North Korea, to China, to Russia, and to anyone else who might stir up trouble.
You don’t think we should use our ability to take a stand against using chemical weapons??? Isn’t this our responsibility as the big dog? I am the oldest child in our family - some things were my responsiblity whether I liked it or not.
So far this isn’t an invasion...that would change matters some.

What proof do we have that it was indeed Assad? I think before we accept the accusations we need to verify. Why are you so gung-ho to get us involved in this, without proof positive who actually did this deed? It could very easily have been the opposition. Let’s look before we leap. We have to start taking care of America before we have absolutely no resources to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure.
