Dr. Ben Carson has discovered over $500 billion (that's with a 'B') in errors and accounting mistakes during his audit of the Obama administrations Housing and Urban Development budget.
One of Dr. Carsons first orders after being confirmed as the Secretary of HUD was a thorough audit of the agency, which has been accused of fraud and over-budgeted projects throughout the entire Obama administration.
What did the auditors find? Over $520 billion in budgetary mistakes and clerical errors.

If even a tiny fraction of these accounting errors were found in my company, we’d have the CFO and a bunch of bean counters out in the street looking for new work.
Errors...yeah, that’s the ticket...errors! None of it went into any RAT campaign funds, or any “foundations”...
This amount of fraud would take hundreds if not thousands of federal employees and contractors to pull off. Trump needs to build a wall on the Mexican border and federal prisons with his infrastructure budget.
The entire federal government needs a thorough and continuous auditing.
Ha Ha! I see what you did there....
Some personal bank accounts need looking into.

It flat out doesn't matter what corruption we find in the Obama administration, no one will go to jail for it. Unless you published a video on youtube.
4. Walls along the north, east and south perimeters of Kalifornia.
Shocking, too.
I know I don have to say it..but if ANY private business or listed company pulled anywhere near this kind of crap, they would be delisTed, run out of business and behind bars. Absolutely no fundamental state, no use of GAAP, flagrant noncompliance..i.e., failure to establish a compliant environment...what the He’ll is That? Heads need to roll. Managers refusing to sign off on Financials? My God, Efron were Pokers! Good 1st strike, doctor and I.G. now follow up, chase it down, claw it back and lock them up.
That involved his home and was facilitated by some Syrian guy.
‘Errors’. Right. Check the Caymans.
Didn’t a few Trillion go missing the day before 9/11....
Stay safe everyone...
The money went to Iran.
$520 billion didn’t go missing. The article is misleading, my guess is Hannity doesn’t understand, especially since the actual audit was started by the auditor last year, before Trump was President.
HUD has a budget of about $50 billion. They have an expense account, and they also have “notes”. Notes have value, and they have a lot of value stored in things controlled by HUD. (Good luck finding THAT number though).
Anyway, they found $3.7 billion dollars wrong in the budget spending.
For the “notes”, they found errors in notes, and the absolute value of the “notes” for which they found errors was $520 billion. That doesn’t tell you what the monetary amount of error was, or whether the error was positive or negative.
The errors are largely accounting errors, not following basic principles, not following legal requirements. Like they are supposed to round all their valuations to one million, but have been rounding to a billion. So you could have something that is valued at $2 billion, but it should have been $1.743 billion, or $2.124 billion. THe “error” would be 124 million, or 267 million, but it was on a “2 billion” note.
Some of the errors aren’t even monetary, but still count as part of the “notes” that are worth “$520 billion” that have errors.
Keep this in mind when writing your checks on April 18th.
Only govt can ‘err’ and ‘Oops’ the books to the tune of $500B and, I suspect, nary a blink of an eye.
Congressional over-sight? Anyone think this seems to be the status quo out of Congress??
Maybe another committee of do-nothing’ism is in order. Oh, they’ll make some good sound bites, but not a single prosecution or attempt to retrieve the taxpayer’s $$$.
Gowdy, here’s a hint: Find the one(s) whom signed off on the LAST ‘audit’ and work up from there.
