"As usual, Mark Levin had it right, the story is about the leaking but Donald Trump's tweets gave the left media the excuses needed to disparage and even ignore Trump except for his tweets and, therefore, the seriousness of the leaking."

Did you live through Watergate? It took several years for the details surrounding Watergate to be revealed, despite Woodward and Bernstein being on the story from the initial hearings for the burglars. Before it was over, more than 60 people had been convicted of crimes.

I am very convinced that this story is not about leaks. It is about unlawful surveillance. Time will tell. But we are are only in the first inning.

Nixon's recordkeeping, in the form of the tapes, assured that Nixon would eventually be revealed as a co-conspirator by having advised that he could raise hush money to buy silence from the burglars. His own arrogance regarding the extreme value of his time in office was, at least in part, his undoing.

Obama and his minions share that same arrogance. I fully expect that every detail of their crimes is documented in our various intelligence agencies. In cleverly distributing the unlawful intelligence, expecting that he could then benefit from leaks of the information, Obama has ensured that the information will be uncovered.

I'm investing in popcorn. I expect that this mess is going to bring a lot of people down. Who do you guess will play the part of John Dean in this remake of a political classic? We already have Bob Creamer playing the part of Donald Segretti, arranging dirty tricks to undermine the opposition. How wonderfully fitting that both of these massive conspiracies were undertaken to gather dirt on political opponents. In Nixon's case he won and that bought him some time. In this case, Obama and Hillary lost. This bodes ill for them.

Since you believe the poll numbers, let’s go back to Nov 5, 2016—one day before the election:

During the 2012 election, Republicans who hated the daily onslaught of polling showing that Mitt Romney was headed toward a comfortable defeat turned to Dean Chambers, the man who launched the website Unskewed Polls. The poll numbers were wrong, he said, and by tweaking a few things, he could give a more accurate count. His final projection had Romney winning close to all 50 states.

Chambers has wisely abandoned the field of election forecasting, and this year says he thinks the various models predicting a Hillary Clinton victory are probably accurate. The models themselves are pretty confident. HuffPost Pollster is giving Clinton a 98 percent chance of winning, and The New York Times’ model at The Upshot puts her chances at 85 percent.

>They should check back to 2011 and 2012 before Obama’s reelection. They could have been doing the same thing to Romney.

I’m sure they where.

If a Republican did this, calls for impeachment would be above the fold at the Slimes and Compost and all over CNN, ABC, CBS, etc.

>I suppose you believe the Trump was playing nine dimensional chess (evidently 3-D chess is not grand enough for the Grand Master) as has been insisted on these threads.

You do realize the 9-d chess thing is a joke-meme, right?

>The problem is his numbers are in the tank and a lot of the country, a huge percentage of the country, believes that he is unstable partly because of these kinds of tweets.

Polling doesn’t mater right now. It will matter closer to the midterms.

>If he wants to land a “sucker punch,” he should not drop his right, he should not lower his guard and leave himself open to all these scurrilous attacks that the establishment media have been hurling at him ever since he tweeted these allegations.

You really don’t get it do, you? If Trump released all this stuff about Obama spying in a normal manner the media would just ignore it. Pretend like it never happened and it works. Now however that Trump’s been attacked over and over again the media can’t ignore it. Trump used this tactic over and over and it’s effective in dealing with a MSN that’s pure propaganda, not new reporting.

Bingo. Trump’s wire tapping tweet was intentionally exaggerated for incendiary effect — and he got it. He forced the discussion changed from “Trump colluded with Russia”, to “hey, just how did they get those Flynn transcripts and why were they spying on him?”

Trump is playing chess and is several steps ahead of his opponents, including the media. That tweet was brilliant. It caused the exact desired effect.

The much more plausible explanation is she requested go get all the transcripts of any phone conversations we have intercepted that were by Trump, these specific Trump aides, and any Trump family member.

That is no longer incidental collection, not when you specifically request transcripts of phone conversations of specific people. That is taking what is vacuumed up, meeting every phone call on the planet that the NSA collects, and then searching for specific information on specific Americans.

And that my friends is treason.

Great, clear post.

This needs to get so much exposure that the media will be forced to say something to the 70% of busy, gullible Americans.

There is no way this intel was collected / disseminated legally. And Susan Rice didn’t come up with the idea all by her lonesome. Nor did she force herself on the talk shows to give that video explanation for Benghazi. QUI BONO?

"Look at this transcript, Barack. We got Trump's people right here, we can see everything the campaign is planning. Huma is gonna wake up Hillary right now and we can coordinate. Get her on the phone."

"Uhh, Susan, can't this wait til 1:30? Valerie's sposed to be back from lunch by then."

The other thing is that since this was done by the National Security Advisor, Trump knew before his tweet that it was Rice. You can’t hide something like that. But the press and dems fell for the swindle and quickly wove a tangled web. It is impossible for them to get their story straight at this point.

Trump’s tweet was the ONLY thing that ensured there would be an investigation of snooping vs. an investigation of him.

Something I haven’t heard much lately is that Obama presided over a scandal-free administration. Looks like Trump demolished that talking point once and for all.

This was a diabolical, illegal fishing expedition—worthy only of the most totalitarian regimes—and right now the Media is so busy trying to explain it away, that they're actually exposing the fact that it was the worst type of abuse imaginable.

The Democrats are screwed 9 ways to China. Right now they're basically saying "Donald Trump and his staff weren't specifically targeted with surveillance". If they had been, that would have been bad enough!

Think about the alternative for a moment. What basically happened is Democrat and Establishment operatives like Susan Rice—at the behest of the highest levels of the Executive Branch and/or the Hillary campaign—used elements of the intelligence community to conduct warrantless fishing expeditions for the sole purpose of political gain, extortion, and personal destruction.

These gangsters were sifting the virtually limitless amount of SIGINT just sitting around in NSA databases, specifically with the goal of getting "dirt" on political opponents to use against them in a Presidential election (and then a Presidential transition).

This makes Richard Nixon look like a schoolboy.

It's a scandal and crime of the highest magnitude.

If in fact this Establishment and Democrat (but I repeat myself) subversion turns out to be what happened—and it certainly appears to be the case—President Trump must see to it that those responsible are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Indeed, the President will lose my support if he doesn't drain the swamp as a result of this criminal activity by the Democrats (presuming that's what happened). Something like this can't be swept under the rug. It's civil war material...

This development will hopefully spark a national debate on the People reclaiming their Right to Privacy under the Fourth Amendment (and elsewhere). Enough is enough. I'm not willing to live in a totalitarian snooping state, even if it that means it's harder to fight terrorism. The Democrats are out of control, as usual...

Nobody went to jail for the IRS scandal, Hillary’s pay-for-play rogue server, Benghazi, Fast & Furious, etc. So I don’t expect anything but maybe a hearing or two and that’s it..
