Nye was responding to a question from a vegan on how eating meat could reduce the world's greenhouse gas emissions.

Environmentalists are very interested in reducing methane from cow farts, with some groups like Friends of the Earth pressuring public schools to switch their lunch menus away from beef to reduce emissions.
The Obama administration released a methane plan in 2014 that called for reducing emissions from the dairy industry 25 percent. That meant finding ways to capture or reduce emissions from cow farts and burps. Republican lawmakers, however, were quick to criticize the White House’s proposal, arguing the government could end up taxing cow farts.

How many of you want to lock Bill Nye in a room whose ventilation system pipes in cow farts for 20 minutes?
I smell backpedaling. So that would “solve” climate change, eh Bill? You and yours have heard about how ALLLLL those research results were found to be rigged, haven’t you?
Years ago, I saw a national geographic special about something to do with rural China. The people kept their pigpen outside their kitchen, and had a hose hanging over it, which lead to the kitchen stove, to carry methane. When they wanted to cook, they uncorked the hose and let ‘er rip! .....so to speak.
What a doofus. To get the amount of energy the need to become adult, they’re going to need to excrete that much carbon and that much hydrogen. You can’t repeal chemistry with gene splicing.
